Efthreeoh Thank you. Yes, I did. She's a true car gal. She no longer rides street bikes but her last three before she stopped riding were a Honda Shadow, a Suzuki SV650, and a Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro. As for cars, her current daily driver is a 2018 OG M2 (pictured in the avatar). Prior to that she dailied a Porsche Spyder and a C7 Z51 Vett. She even loves driving my manual GT4 with LWB seats, harnesses and a full race exhaust. after being together over 30 years, she's still a keeper.

Got this one about two-weeks ago. May be just a temporary resident as a friend from high-school wants to make it his. Interesting story as it is a '78 BMW R100RS Motorsport built by the factory with the "S" fairing instead of the "RS" fairing but with the engine badge that says "R100RS". BMW says they built only 200 of the '78 R100RS Motorsport, but no one is really sure how many were made with the "S" fairing. Guesses from knowledgeable folks run from 13 to 90. Between this one and my best buddy's collection a few miles away, we can account for five of them right here.

Last of two RSV4s I owned after my S1000RR (following HD, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Honda). My riding days ended much earlier than I would have ever anticipated after my encounter with an impatient tourist. Anyway, I don’t really rate bikes—all have their pros/cons and I've appreciated every bike I've owned. But, the RSV4 and the ZX10R were my favorite (daily driver) rides (nearly tied was the SK1RR).

Unfortunately, this is what it became after that red suburban ran a stop sign and pulled out in front of me...

I was club racing actively up until end of 2023 where I got 3rd overall in 3 superbike classes, I was running a 2021 Aprilia RSV4 1100.

This is my latest toy, 2019 V4R.
It’s incredible to ride, the best bike period. So fast, predictable, agile and easy to ride (vs the 1100 bikes)

I've been thinking about a cbr1000rr and also a triple r SP and then maybe a dirt bike for my kids to share but I'm trying my best to hold back because I don't ride as much as I used to or want to these days.

My VRSCF Muscle, all purdied up and about to depart for Sturgis-- it's tough to believe that it's 13 years old.

(I'm *completely* "meh" on Sturgis, but my buddy wanted to go and it was an excuse to go camping for a week and do a couple fun rides.)

The bike is pretty damn far from stock. It rides like a cruise missile-- it's heavy but fast, and handles like a bike half its weight.

I can't leave *anything* with wheels stock-- the struggle is real.

I love this thing! I went for an hour ride near to where I live. Got practice entering traffic from residential and retail areas, using roundabouts, and standing at stoplights/intersections. I rode around a local recreation/park area and got practice with tight low speed turns and watching for pedestrians.

Throttle seems sensitive. I adjusted the clutch lever all the way out / "tight" and I still would like a bit earlier bite. I will make a small adjustment on the lower end of the cable. The bike I learned on had a smooth and wide friction zone and an insensitive throttle, so I need to learn the Tiger Sport's controls.

Front brake lever is adjusted to "1", or early engagement. Rear brake lever seem small and inboard. My foot would like it farther outboard and with less freeplay/earlier bite.

I used "Auto Advanced" direction indicators - I don't like them. I will change to "Manual". I want to control the indicators.

I adjusted the rear suspension "all the way out" / as soft as possible / minimum preload. The dealer or previous owner had the setting quite tight. I didn't notice if it was at the maximum preload. I am 6' tall and weigh 160lbs and the minimum preload setting was comfortable. No cargo in the boxes.

Weather was full sun and 55F then rose to 60F during the ride. I was wearing a pullover sweater and Sedici Avventura jacket and was comfortable at all times. Near the end of the ride I started to feel warm but not uncomfortable. Hands were a bit chilled at the start. I wear generic non-m/c uninsulated leather gloves so I will need to consider an upgrade here.

Schuberth C5 Globe helmet is comfortable and quite up to 60mph, the fastest I rode today. I like the visor adjustment increments to control ventilation. I closed all ventilation of the helmet (and jacket) because it was unneeded with today's weather. Lower legs were warmed nicely by the pipes.

Still learning the menus of the TFT display. So far not impressed with the navigation app and will keep trying. I took a quick look under the seat and traced the C-TEK 0.8 charger cable back to the battery, looked at the OBD connector and found the OEM USB rubber holder loop.

Acceleration is good, speaking as a new rider/ first motorcycle. More than enough for me. Surprising to be running near 4,000rpm at 50mph-55mph. Seems high compared to a car/SUV and the vibration is apparent. It is a motorcycle, right!?

I am really enjoying this machine so far.

Many happy miles, if i understood correctly, you are a new rider, take it slow for the first few thousand miles Until you get a good grip about how the bike behaves under breaking, acceleration and leaning, there is a bunch of videos on YT regarding everything you would ever want to know. And yes, bike probably revs up to 9-10-11-12k or more Rpm, 4000is nothing compared to cars 4000rpm.
Enjoy yourself and safety first, first year is crucial for becoming a good rider with smart habits

Thanks! I agree with taking it slow. The 80 mile round trip ride today was the longest so far. I have a better feel for the bike and more confidence. Confidence as we know has good and bad aspects!
