This is why people go nuts in threads where a young kid and/or parents of are thinking of getting a 128/135. My daughter will drive a (safe) beater like I did when she starts driving.

I think it depends on the kid... The one thing that I know, if I would have taken one of my parents' cars out on a road without a license, I would have been hopping to get picked up by the cops... and not my dad!
