Bang On. Google Street View shows exactly the same setting as his pictures on 780tuners.com. Notice the red pickup truck parked on the other side and the narrow two story detached home across the street.

Give it up Stahov, there is a posse coming after you! Your Gig is over, you've now been outed on 780tuners as well.

Paypal should clear it up as they always do. Sorry to hear about this scam from a 1addict member. I was always weary of buying on here, but have never had a problem.

Report him and let us know!

All he has to do to clear this up is make the tracking number of the original shipment by Canada Post public information. The one he says got returned. I have a theory, since he advertised the rims as "Shipping Included" - when it came time to actually pay for shipping, he might have had sellers remorse.

Here is his post on 780tuners.com:

"buddy you gotta relax, I sent out the wheels two weeks ago but got them returned to me for some odd reason, thats canada post for you. I just send them out yesterday via ups. Ill pm you the tracking info.

FWIW we had a postal strike in Canada for most of June. Still doesn't excuse the lack of communiction.

Yes - one more reason to be suspicious of the excuse about Canada Post returning them. Just a theory, though.

Or be suspicious because he was trying to sell the same rims on 780 that he apparently sold to pnosker, just a thought.

This guy tried to sell me used eyelids at a higher price than what they're worth new. Big thumbs down. I probably would have never got them if I had bought them.

Just realized a long time ago he was also interested in buying something from me and that fell through as well. I'm feeling lucky..

At this point I think we wait and see. I don't really think he is an accomplished scammer, or else he certainly wouldn't have used his real name in his handle. I think he is just young, perhaps a little scatterbrained, forgetful, not very conscientious and may not be good at setting priorities. But that is just a wild guess.

Good news: 2 of the wheels came today (other 2 are stuck in customs I believe)

Bad news: The tires and TPMS that I paid for did not come

Since the car is from Canada, and in Canada the wheels are not TPMS equipped, that could be a problem. Canada only gets the software version that measures the difference in wheel rotation (Flat Tire Monitor).

That is correct. Only US spec cars have real TPMS. AND there are two systems... one TPMS used up to Sept, 2010 production and another type of TPMS used after that production date.

For the RoW (Rest of the World) cars they use the ABS speed sensor's to detect a flat tire.

You can tell a TPMS wheel by the metal valve stem. RoW cars have a regular rubber tire valve.

I understand, but he said that the wheels came with tires and TPMS for some reason... Either way it came with nothing but the wheels.
