Wanted Hartge or similar Quad exhaust

Hi,

In Adelaide looking for above factory style exhaust for my 135i.

Unless the boot and battery 1M conversion would be cheaper or simpler if anybody could recommend a place in SA or Vic that can do this?

Thanks Andy

i dont think that's possible for our cars. muffler can be set up back down the pipe a bit but not where the stock one sits if you want to get the pipe across to the other side.

It's very possible. Mines a HARTGE just like the attached picture:

Slightly off topic but I'm wondering if there are any quad exhausts which are suitable for a 1M rep rear bumper similar to that below:

https://eurodivision.com.au/bmw-1m-s...e-fitment.html

My car was recently involved in a very minor car accident but it looks like I'm going to need a new rear bar so am considering replacing it with a 1M style bar (trying not to start a don't put 1M bumpers on a 135i/car looks to narrow for the design discussion here!), however I'm thinking this might look weird without a quad setup.

Really like the sound of my current exhaust too so not sure what my options are ..

Simon i have the exact bar from Eurodivision. Looks great fits perfect, then you have to custom the exhaust which won't be cheap

Could always go for fake tips...

Just sayin' - it's amazing the length we all go to to pipe the exhaust across to the other side for zero performance or sound gains - just to avoid the stigma of asking someone to manufacture a matching exhaust outlet which goes nowhere.

Have you got any pics of what it looks like on your car? Seriously considering going down this route

Agree.. I really like the sound of my current AFE axleback so dont really want to poke a hole in it just to extend an extra pair of tips on the other side (will probably have a negative impact on the sound IMO). Might just run the single exhaust with the 1M bar

Take a look at my build thread to see another quad setup option. I originally had a Berk Street Series axle back that was converted to quad with some custom piping.

I disagree re there being no point doing this mod. My car sounds fantastic (even on the driver's side) when going through tunnels now. It is a far more balanced sound than the factory left exit only.

Interesting! Did the exhaust note change at all after converting it to a quad setup with the extra piping?

No the exhaust note was largely the same but it became more balanced with sound clearly being heard from the right side of the car too. Highly recommended if just for tunnels/overpasses!

You live in Adelaide? Jeez, get yourself down to Exhaust Technology in Kings Park and see Mark!

I drove over there to get this done early in the year. I wouldn't trust my exhaust with anyone else in the country! Full custom quad exhaust. No battery relocation required, Marky worked his magic and made it happen.

Got the quad diffuser from here.

Exhaust Technology they are literally around the corner so they were my first port of call if I go custom. Just wanted to see what is around in the market place first. I am pricing up a 1M conversion and wanted to explore the whole battery/boot conversion V a custom exhaust.

Just get in there and see Mark, mine was the first 135i he had a full crack at so the hard work is done. He convinced me not to go quad once he got it up on the hoist so I left there thinking it was going to be a full OEM style but when I rang him half way through the day to see how it was going he said "All sorted with the quad, come down and get your new 1M!"

Looks great and sounds tits.

I live in Melbourne too Simonnn. Adelaide's not that far away.

This is the 5th full custom system Mark has done for me, I would never go off the shelf again. He's got one of those big industrial pipe bending machines, its not backyard stuff, he knows wtf he is doing.

I bought the last HARTGE E82 exhaust before they were discontinued. It's an awesome unit but will consider selling for the right price. It was not cheap by any stretch of the imagination

Cheers.
