Skidpad Slalom numbers.
I have searched for this already and haven't found any concrete numbers yet. Has there been anything released telling us there numbers? I am not new here I have been looking on here for a couple of weeks. I plan ordering my 135 in the next 2 weeks. I am just trying to find all the information I can. So any help would be great.
Thanks |

Supra TwinTurbo - Skidpad ratings as high as .98g were recorded along with slalom speeds that averaged 68.5 mph. In a subsequent Car and Driver “10 Best” issue, an automatic Supra Turbo recorded a 70-0 braking distance of 149 feet.
Can someone please list 135i numbers. Thanks. |

60 - 0 braking distance: 102 ft.
Go ahead, see what other cars match or best this. You will be amazed.

It would be interesting to see a graph showing the amount of deceleration plotted against distance. My theory is that one reason the 135 has such great numbers is that it is an aerodynamic brick (relative to say a Cayman), and has more initial slowing than cars with less drag. High initial stopping then has a big compounding effect on the second half of the stop. '50's Mercedes SLR racecars with the airbrake come to mind, as does the oft quoted trivia that F1 cars experience 1G of braking force just by lifting out of the throttle...

Would you give up 5-6 ft of stopping distance (more from highways speeds) for a sexier, more aerodynamic body?
