I really want this mainly because the software update to get rid of the lag I have but I'm planning on getting mhd also. Will mhd override the ppl and software update if I flash it after?

Is a 2013 BMW 135i N55 available for a PPK install other than the Dealership?

No sir. Your build date makes it a dealership only thing. I'd look at a Dinan S2 flash tune for around the same price. I am not sure if it creates the same sounds, but I had PPK before and then got S2 and I still have the sounds. So it either doesn't overwrite PPK or has some similar coding.

We can update the DME to the latest OEM release, which will fix the lag issue. Then you can use MHD on top of that.

I wondered about this as well because I had PPK and then got Dinan S2 and my car still had all the PPK pops and burbles. I recently talked to a member who knows a BMW tech who had Dinan on his 135is (which has PPK2, but has the same software as PPK1) and he said that the Dinan tune overwrites PPK but has similar sounds.

Neither DME update nor PPK are needed if you install MHD, it uses a recent software version that will always replace your current software and provide adjustable exhaust burble. If you deinstall MHD, you'll be on the OEM map for this recent software version.

Unfortunately not, outside of the dealership, the PPK can only be installed on N55's that are 02/2012 and older.

The dealer has no other choice than to flash the latest DATEN files to your car with the dealer software they use. That means you will leave the dealer with the new "rom" version along with the modified tune.

Daten files contain every DME flash available for your car that BMW developed, including the PPK tune. That is how people flash PPK on their own without a code. you can use winkfp, a more powerful program than dealers use, to flash the car with the PPK tune without the code (so long as you know which tune/ZUSB number the PPK is otherwise it just updates you to the latest stock DME software). You also don't have to upgrade every module in your car like the dealer is forced to do when they use their software.
I've 2011 N55, do you know what instructions can I follow to do PPk stage 1 or stage 2 myself?
p.s. I'm not sure what DME version I'm on since I bought it used.

As mentioned above, you should contact Joe - Coding@topgearsolutions.com. He'll set you up. I hear their prices are reasonable.

If you can code (or know someone who can) I think you can go to n54tech.com and search for info on DIY.
