N55 Catless downpipe - what codes do you throw?
Hi Everyone,
Those of you with a catless downpipe, what codes do you typically throw after driving for a while? It appears p0420 is the normal one, but I also received p3106 which according to my AccessPORT is something like 'Catalytic Conversion Bank 1'. I'm having trouble finding a good resource for codes which are proper for this DME. Last edited by whostorm05; 06-08-2013 at 08:55 AM.. |

P3106
Did you ever find out what P3106 was? I am having a hard time finding out as well. Car is a 2011 135i.
When I scan using my accessport, I usually have both P0420 and P3106. Found plenty of info on P0420, but can't find anything on P3106. |

I'm pretty sure it's due to no cats as it's one of the codes which the AccessPort blocks out from triggering the SES light (if using a map which does that).

thanks Nugget, found it.
so does anyone have any experience with the P3106 code? i was assuming it is somethign related to my dp since i never got the code with the stock dp. is this something serious? per the document on *********** that nugget pointed to, the description is: Cylinder 2 High Pressure Injector High Side Circuit Low The fault is recognized when a short circuit to ground is present.Potential problem source(s): - Defective plug or wiring harness - Defective injector -Defective DME anyone have any input? |

I havnt had a single code related to the DP I have. I have an AR DP.
Im FBO minus an FMIC and the only codes I get in the JB4 is the "tuner codes".

Just an FYI. I asked what P3106 was in the Cobb thread and got the following response from Cobb:
"Those are both codes for Catalyst efficiency (just reported in 2 different ways). If you're running a catless DP with anything less than Stage2, you will get these codes. -Josh" so P3106 is one of the expected codes for catless downpipes. |

I've got the same deal...2012 135i N55, COBB AP with BMS dp, getting error codes P0420 and P3106 only. With all the info I found online, the P0420 looks pretty standard for running catless, but the P3106 was starting to worry me. Glad that the COBB guy Josh clarified that then, thanks!

Are you guys getting these codes via a engine light? I have the vrsf catless dp on my 11, and no codes have ever popped up. Not even with a code scan?
