I was going to go, but the caravan that headed out from the valley was a rolling roadblock @ 55mph. 4 lanes across. It was disgusting.
So I bailed out by Mailbu Canyon and went and hit the twisties instead. To those who were in the caravan, there were a lot of pissed off folks behind you. Way to be selfish with hwy 101.

Yeah, I agree. While the event was great, the caravan was meh. Next year I'll be sleeping in and driving there at 80mph vs 55mph.
We did get an evil satisfaction watching people cut each other off weaving through traffic, only to be pulled over by CHP a few miles up. Sweet sweet justice.
