NEW! NEW! NEW! ECS N54 Silicone Coolant Hoses and Billet Thermostat Hose Adapter!!!!!
Exciting news! Our engineers got tired of brittle hoses and plastics in the cooling system on our N54 powered shop cars, so they went the extra mile and made an upgrade!

Even through the years of improvement the same failure is seen with the plastic fittings and adapters from years of hot to cold temperature fluctuation. The N54 engine sees failure at the plastic adapter connecting the thermostat hose to the cylinder head, this adapter simply shears off at the end of the barbed fitting. The engineering team here at ECS decided a billet aluminum piece was a much better option to contend with the temperature fluctuation. Should never use gear clamps on rad hoses. They do not expand when the hose gets hot, with causes the clamp to tighten on the hose, distorting it, which will cause it to leak.
Should be using clamps that maintain constant clamping force as the hose expands/contracts, like the factory clamps or a Corbin clamp. |
