Post Recommend a SF/Bay area mechanic for Valvetronic/Eccentric shaft replacement

I've a 2011 BMW 135i with N55 engine.

My car has rough idle surges of ~100 rpm and long cold starts (~2.5 seconds). Car shows P10E2 (2DD6). As per N55 codes, here is the description:
Quote:
Valvetronic servomotor, position sensors: Shortcircuit or line break (open circuit)
Potential problem source(s):
- No power-supply voltage to sensors
- One or several wires to the position sensors is/are shorted to positive or ground
- One or several position sensor wires is open
- One or more position sensors in the Valvetronic actuator motor is defective
Here's what my mechanic had to say:
Quote:
"Disconnected connector for actuator/sensor and inspected for presence of oil. No oil found inside though there is oil around the exterior of the connector which will not affect operation. Suspect failed eccentric shaft position sensor/actuator unit."
Please recommend me a mechanic in Bay area who would do it for a decent price.

How soon do you need it fixed? VT motorworks in pleasanton is opening soon. The two owners are the bmw trained master technicians who built my v8 1m clone.

If your in Santa Clara and need it fixed sooner, Carbahn, Steve Dinan's shop, and Edge MV are good options as well.

Car drives normal, so there is no urgency to fix it. I'll prefer reliability and cost over timeliness.

Any of the shops I recommended should be able to fix no problem. They do good work and are honest. VT is good because they are factory trained. So where many shops do different things, from bolts ons, to track cars and builds, it is nice to go to a shop who also can do maintenance by bmw trained techs.

I got a quote from BMW stevens creek and I'm sure I don't want to get it fixed there at all. Googling "VT motorworks pleasanton" didn't yield anything. Can you share their contact if they're in operation
