Exclamation To those who had osram 6000k, please read!!

I installed my Osram 6000k today. Right after I installed my left side, i try to test it to see if it work or not. Yes it lighted up However, i heard a "buzzing" sound coming from the light bulb. Then i install my right side, i heard the same buzzing sound again. Now i have buzzing sound coming from both sides. i called the guy in suvlights.com and he told me that the Osram bulbs have not been burn in yet and the buzzing sound is normal. It will go away after the bulbs has already been burned in. This is my first time having xenon headlight and i have no previous expensive with HID. Some inputs would be greatly appreciated! I am worrying about my headlight now as i am not sure if that buzzing sound is normal.

Thanks in advance for answering my concerns!!!

Most people here want the more light of the OEM bulbs, so very few have changed.

Youll have to wait for someone that has changed to come online

i never really heard a buzzing before or after upgrading to the osram bulbs, however i know if i stuck my ear up to the headlight i would hear the buzzing.

are you hearing it from far away or only up close?

close is normal for a xenon system to make a slight buzzing sound.

thats what i mean ... you have to literally put your ear up to the headlight to hear a faint buzzing from the bulbs.

Yes, i am NOT hearing the buzzing sound if the engine is running or i am far away. But if the engine is off and the lights are on and I am fairly close, I can hear the sound. On the other hand, when i was installing my light (the plastic cover was off), if i turn on the light, the buzzing was fairly lound, however i dont hear ANY sound from the stock bulb on the other side tho. If you guys have time, can you try turn on your headlights but not the engine, and see if you are experiencing the same issue?

Thanks

I'll check it out on my car first thing tomorrow morning for you.

If the cover was off it would make sense that you would hear the buzzing louder. I don't know why your only hearing on one side though.

I'll keep you posted.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion. What i mean i only hear one side is i have the 6000k on one side and the stock D1S on the other side. So the buzzing sound occur only on the side that with the osram 6000k but not one the side that has the stock one. I hope this make sense.

Thanks
