T is making solid progress with it. Looks like it will be out soon. IMHO, under hood is the way to go.. T said the windscreen washer tank is 1.5 gallon too!

I'm beginning to lean towards the underhood idea. Still not set in stone. What about yourself Richard?

I new it was big. 1.5 gallon is perfect and we get a the low fluid warning. Now let's see what Matt says. I'm gonna try and work out a gestimate on this new kit maybe just under $400. What do you guys think?

yeh I need to wait and see the final release and more info on this kit once Terry has finished with local testing and then ill make my decision. I agree it wont be an expensive kit so probably under $400.

I think it will still cost a bit. We won't need to buy a tank but we'll need to cover the cost of the bracket so my guess is at least $500. $400 would be sweet though!

No tank or gauge needed. I'm sticking to $400. I allowed for $60 for bracket.

Terry mentioned a 'budget' kit to me, and said it will most likely be $449, so maybe that is this underhood kit?

Still not sure about the underhood... was set on the integrated VC2 kit... haha, would like to save $250 though!

Richard, the under hood will be a much better option for us. The install will be much easier and it's a decent saving too.

$449 must be the new kit. The VC2 with integrated tank is a very nice kit.
So undecided.

Dragged this thread back so you guys don't forget about our meth kits.
After last nights 12.8 pass I realized that not only do I need to practice my launches but I REALLY want to run meth now. My IAT's were through the roof while waiting for my run.

Can anyone (Blondey) give a rough idea on what a meth kit will cost to install?

I am trying to get quotes but its a bit hard as they haven't done it on the 135 before. I thought it was going to be maybe a few hours labour?

If they have never done it before it will probably take them longer therefor cost you more but I would assume that 2 - 3 hours labour would be enough.

I don't think the installation of the meth kit is the challenging part. It's finding someone that's familiar with your piggyback and how the software works

So it's not a plug and play type scenario?

Accelerate want the car for a day or maybe longer!

Yeh like Vinney said you really do need someone there at the time of the install that knows how the JB4 works with meth because installing the hardware is probably not the hardest part. I dont think there is any shop in Brisbane that even knows how to operate a piggyback such as the JB4 on our cars.

maybe give APC at Underwood a call Richard, they have done work on my car in the past and last time I had it on the dyno they let me do some logging with the JB4 interface and I explained to them a little of how it works. They still wouldnt know about using it with meth though

That sounds about right Richard. I think they give themselves extra time to cover themselves though. I've spoken to them about it and they told me they need to understand how the software works which is the tricky part.

+ 1 Nobody up here knows what the JB4/Procede is lol. The guys in Sydney are hooked up with Adrian that knows the ins and out of the Procede and how it works with meth.

True Matt. It not the install. It's really up to us to be able to set all the parameters and additive levels within the JB4 interface. Most shops in Australia wouldn't have a clue how to run the meth through JB4. I wish it was a plug n play.
