1800 miles in one month is too much -- now I have to figure out how to dial it back, but it is too much fun.

On 1180 miles, had the car since 1st March. I'll start to really stretch the car next week, so should be able to post more feed-back on the upper rev range perfomance early next week.

Mad.

I am somewhere in the 500's and I still follow a loose interpretation of the break in period. Okay, I have all but let it go.

Two days after taking delivery, I had to go on a two-week vacation! I can't wait to drive the car when I get back!

Just have to ask: will anyone be getting their oil changed after they get their break in mileage over with? Will the BMW service monitor recommend change at that point? To get back on topic: I hate all of you for even having your cars. There.

Picked it up today so I have all of 24 miles on it. I'll be posting some pictures this weekend if the sun comes out. I thought you guys might want to see the saphire black with the Terra interior. In my opinion it looks great.

4 days, 500-odd miles, mostly easy back road and freeway with a little town driving thrown in. 22.6 mpg overall.

Picked the car up at the Performance Center on Thursday, drove back to Houston over the weekend. Currently have 1275 miles in 4 days and averaged 25.4 MPG for the entire trip!!

I am amazed at the great consumption figures you guys are getting. Mine hasn't reached 18 mpg since i've gotten it. I am usually hovering around 17.6 mpg. Of course this has been city stoplight racing exclusively.
