Touch up spray paint for OEM 135 rear bumper diffuser?
Hi all, Im looking for some touchup spray paint that matches the matte grey of the bottom diffuser portion of the 135i rear bumper. Ive tried dupli-color's bumper touch up in charcoal but its a lighter grey, almost looks like primer. Does anyone know where I can get a spray color that I can rattle-can to match the diffuser?

I don't think it's painted in a BMW color. That's how the diffuser comes to BMW factory from their supplier and that's how it looks like when you get it from the dealer.
Usually, for painted OEM parts, ETK states that they need to be painted as they come only in primer. The shade kinda reminds me of Stahlgrau but it's easier to just repaint the whole thing.

For something like that, in my opinion, it's either replace the diffuser or go to a body shop where they'll be able to get very close if not spot on with mixing custom paint.
The body shop I use has a painter which doesn't just go by the factory paint code. He'll use the paint code as a starting point and then figures out a paint variation of custom mixes something that is actually the paint shade on your car. He eyeballs everything and is damn good at it. He got my Carbon Black spot on where you can't even tell there has been any paint work done to the car. He also got the Pearl White on my Ducati perfectly matched; which he tells me white is actually the hardest color to match up. |

It's not painted. That's just the colour of the plastic so I don't think you'll have much luck finding a paint to match.
If you want a proper finish, you'll have to choose a colour you like and paint the whole thing. The other option is to view this as an excuse to upgrade to a nice aftermarket diffuser like a carbon fibre BMW Performance diffuser or the Rieger piece. |

Thanks for the info guys, and yeah I was afraid it was actually its unpainted natural color of the material. The thing is im not touching up my 135i bumper, Im actually looking for the matching paint to spray my E46 M3's diffuser in this color. So if its not an exact match its ok as im not truly touching up a 135 diffuser, I simply want to paint my entire diffuser to something that looks just like the 135 diffuser, sorry for any confusion!

Just take the diffuser in to any decent paint shop and they should pretty easily be able to mix something up that's just about identical.

Their paints are super high quality and look great. I've used them on a couple of projects, as have others here on the forums. You'll save a ton of money that way.
