Handling issues after eliminating run-flats
Hey guys:
Can someone give me a brief rundown of what steps to take/parts to change to eliminate body roll/loose steering after going from the stock run-flat tires to standard radials? 2008 135i vert with stock suspension. Maybe I'm not searching the forum correctly..... Thanks as always-- |

- new shocks/struts (and maybe springs) - M3 or poly rear subframe bushings - front M3 arms - M3 front sway bar |

The effect of the soft rear subframe bushings is amplified when you switch to non run flats. I'd suggest starting with replacing those with M3 or Whiteline.

hi op. i hope this post helps. i have m3 subframe bushings, m3 front arms, dinan springs on koni yellows in the front and koni whites (externally adjustables) in the rear, and eibach front and rear bars. for the first time, i replaced my RFT with michelins pilot sport 4s about three weeks ago. its super quiet and grippy as hell. the stock RFT ran as if they were ridden cold at all times, no grip. however the only downside since getting the michelin 4s had been the same as yours, though my steering didnt feel much looser, the body roll has increased drastically even with the mods. at this point, im thinking of geting bigger sway bars, or stiffer springs. |
