It's made for stock seats but can be converted into a 5 or 6 point harness.

Great practical news!

Puzzled by why it has to be a US spec car. E82 belongs to a global platform with limited hard- & software differences between regions

I think he is referring to the looks.

It probably doesn't, but I think the testing has been done by hms on US spec cars only. Unless someone can shed light on the subject.

Plausible, just seems weird to ignore Schroth's EU/German home market?

Anyway, like the 5-6 point extension (for the pro version) and began to study the mounting instructions to see if the 6 point under-butt loops can be implemented around stock seats.

HMS doesn't sell to someone where the billing and shipping address is different. Do you know where else I can get this from?

5 point Schroth themselves actually do not recommend (related to if you survive, you'd want your junk to be alive as well). For 6 point you'd probably need to negotiate with HMS or Schroth that the hinge of the backrest serves as under-butt attachment for the so-called F loops. However these new Quick-fit Pro harnesses do not support such F loops. For stock seats 4 point seems the only route to go.

From their website, HMS seem a pretty small but enthusiast store. if you haven't already, i'd give them a call as I doubt that any place else will sell these (German Schroth has no EU versions listed yet). Also be ready for a "US-spec only" discussion.

I had a discussion with Schroth Germany in April, and they ended up having HMS contact me because they are more experience with our cars. Unfortunately they can't sell outside of US. I just contacted Vivid Racing, so hopefully they will have access to it.

Is it easy to install\remove it?
E.g. you go on track and install it. Then you go back and remove it and just drive it with regular item.

Seems easy to install & remove; I believe 2 small extension pieces remain in the car (1 front and 1 rear). See image 3 @ HMS Quick Fit Pro web page.

I have the previous version intalled in my e46 M3. They just clip in and out with the mounting hardware left in the car. This is much more convienant than the perminant ones installed in my e 36 M3.

It has been incredibly frustrating to post on the forum. If I reply with a quote, I get an error message saying I need to enter more than one character. Or in the PM case, nothing appears. I've tried emailing admins, but I guess nothing gets through there either. If you can forward my note to an admin I'd greatly appreciate it.

This was the error message I received after trying to send a second note to you.
"Please complete both the subject and message fields."

Here's what I tried to reply to you. At least I copied it before clicking send.

Yes, those are the brackets. I do not remember buying anything additional but the belts were used when I bought them and used them in my 2005 330i with ZHP. I did use a similar set up in my E36 318i. For that set up I did not use any additional brackets.

need to bolt a bracket on the seatbelt receiver side. I can attach the other side to the BR Racing harness bar. Thanks In advanced Chad
