Cold Weather Testing

Took this photo while my car was warming up following about five days parked outside. I passed the time by shoveling out the snow drift behind it. At the time I took this, it was about -35 C, and the windchill was at least -45 C (-31 F, -49 F windchill). I wish I had taken a video of the start, but it would make the hair stand up on the back of everyone's necks stand up. It started on the 2nd try, after cranking itself for like 30s on the first try. Half way through the 2nd attempt, I decided to give it a bit of throttle to help it, which seemed to work. The battery tender was plugged in the whole time, so no cranking power issues.

Do your side windows work ok in this weather? I had problems on a previous e82 (but not the 1M) when very cold with the windows not dropping the 5mm required to open the doors as they were frozen solid.

They work ok, as long as there hasn't been a thaw-freeze, and if I haven't washed it.

Did you have the battery connector recall done yet? My moms 128 did not start 3 winters in a row at -20 deg temps. Since the recall it starts great!
