Over the these past few years I been active on the forums and since I have decided it’s only right to introduce my car, share my story and start a new chapter. It started off as a lemans blue 135i, I purchased it in goodwill from a young gentleman who was starting a family. I picked the car up for just under 24k US and it only had 28k miles on it! It was the steal of a lifetime for a college kid like me who spent his whole weekends in high school working to afford a car instead of partying. I started off with the basic bolt ons everyone does. Chargepipe, piggyback, ppk, exhaust, intake and methanol injection. Mid June last year a set of railway tracks destroyed my stock wheels and the company Who owned the tracks decided to cover the price of new wheels and tires, so Apex Arc-8 it was. Followed by eibach lowering springs. I also took a chance and retrofitted f8x paddles to my bmw performance steering wheel. If you have a dct, the paddles can be picked up for relatively cheap on eBay and it’s well worth it! Big shout out to Yeineken I have since decided to take things to the next level. A full 1M conversion, starting with the front and hopefully by May next year the rear will be done. The car is currently being wrapped in 3M satin dark Grey s261. I have a bunch of parts on order. 135i/1M molded side skirts, Will be picking up the fenders this Monday! Bumper is a few weeks out from Germany and many of the miscellaneous parts still need to be ordered! From here on out I will do a weekly update!

Awesome! That's a nice color wrap.
Did you order those molded side skirts? Or pick them up from a member?

Anyways in regards to the paddle swap, you just have to swap the bases from the stock e series paddles. I also recommend using the rubber contacts from the stock paddles as well as I was having contact issues with the f series ones. Just use a small terminal screw driver or a scratch awl to push the pin out to swap the bases over!

Pulled the car outside to turn it around so I could start doing the other side on Saturday. Can't believe how different the colour looks! Also finished the roof off last night. Have to do the rain tray pieces still and the antenna.

Looking good man how did you do the trunk around the spoiler? Did you remove the spoiler to wrap?

Spoiler was removed, I actually put the seam underneath the spoiler for the two parts I used on the trunk so you don't see it. It's not that hard to remove but the adhesive is a pita. If you do remove it make sure you use a lot of heat on the spoiler side when removing the adhesive as it will pull away the clear coat on the oem spoiler.

I agree! I originally was going for black but I am glad I went with silver. Will be keeping the same colour wheels. Just ordering new fronts. Will be running 265/35r18 square with et22 offset.

Slow progression lately, working a ton of overtime at work and waiting on parts has given me a lack of motivation to work on my car : however my fenders finally came in and I am just waiting on my bumper now! The strike in Germany has really put a halt on my parts! Was able to wrap the hood tonight and it came out perfect! Love how well the wrap shows the body lines!

I took the day off work today to start getting stuff done on the car so I can finally drive it! The weather has been beautiful here and driving a golf just doesn't settle!
I mounted the 1M fenders today and wrapped the passenger side. Room is right in my garage right now so I will pull the car out and do the other fender on the weekend hopefully!
