New 135i - 780 miles?!
I thought I'd raise a fun topic....
I initially tried to buy my 135i through carsdirect.com. I had an amazingly easy experience with them in 2001 when I bought and financed my first new vehicle. This time around the guy who was handling my dealio was extra dense. I won't bore you with details but..... When he finally found a car I wanted it had 780 miles on it? A 2012 BSM with M sport and some other bits. 780 miles? What the...? I told him politely to stuff it and found a car through another venue. Now does anyone know why it would have that much mileage (he said it wasn't a demo)? That's just funky. Please discuss. |

I call BS on him saying it wasn't a demo. And with 780 miles, it isn't new anymore.

I bought a new car (non BMW) with 1000 miles on it. Sales demo. Never thought I would do that, but have zero regrets.
They had almost the identical car on the lot with 12 miles on it, but it had a couple extra features I did not want and they offered me a decent price on the demo. Between the discount and the extra options, it was $1500 swing. Even though it had 1K miles, it's still sold as new. I even got the 60 month, 0% new car financing. |
