1M conversion - Projekt start and questions!

Hi!

I am a guy from germany, reading a lot of articles here in the forum before i registered.
Had done some BMW swaps / builds before, now i want to 'build' a 1M out of a 135i.

I already have:
- OE rear bumper
- OE front bumper
- OE fenders front
- ...

One of my mos importand questions:
I want to use Prior Design fenders in the rear, do they 'fit' to the rest of the OE stuff?
One OE rearpanel is at the moment more than 1000 bucks in germany, both fenders from Prior are round about 500 ... together :-)

As soon i am back in the workshop, i will update this thread with some pics, if wanted. Perhaps some of you know my E30.

Would be sooo great if you guys have some answers for me :-)

As you probably already know, anything can 'fit' where bodywork is concerned. I've seen at least one person use the prior design rear fenders with the rest of the oem stuff. Obviously if you're doing it right they're going to need bodywork to mould them to the body anyway so any competent shop/bodywork person will be able to make sure they line up well to the OEM panels. Be aware, I've heard the prior design flares take months to receive. Someone in the US makes 1M quarter flares in fiberglass for about $500 total and that's what I'm doing for mine

Hi!

Thanks for the comment, i wrote directly with Prior some mails and ordered directly there.
Delivery time was estimated 2-3 weeks.

I hoped that anyone had some pictures OEM + Prior
I'll pay 500€ with shipping, that's including 10% price reduction.

Hi!

Thank you for the tip, i will write him, just saw the thread!

So, i will not change my rear axels / bearings. What dimension of wheels are going to fit or what is the difference between 135i rear axle and 1m?

The difference is 10mm each side. Many 1M owners are running 10mm spacers without issues. I bought 1M wheels which should have fitted but struggled to make it work. Check out my conversion thread on the same as page as Odessy under asn993 it has all my wheel details

try this website it is fantastic:

https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.ph...9-5&offset2=35

The front hub position on the 135i and 1M is the same, only the guards width is different. So the standard 1M front is 19x9 et31 with 245x35x19

Based on your measurement you are bringing the wheel 15.4mm towards the hub which may hit the strut and also leave a gap to the guard

So ...

last weekend i changed the interior to black and the aluminium to alcantara black now. Steering wheel is going to be alcantara black, too. Old interior was red, dirty, damaged.

I think next weekend i'll start bodywork - planed that the car is in the workshop for paint during my vacation end of march :-)
Wheels: i bought the discussed BBS CH-R in 9.5 and 10x19
And i bought a powerdome from e92 for the hood.

Hey,

so new update from my project.
I have all necessary parts now in the garage, everything original BMW, onle rear fenders from Prior.

Question:
i bought some coilovers H&R for 1M, does they fit in my 135i? Where are the differences? So i bought them cheap, nearly new. Former owner switched to KW.

I hope to start this weekend with some bodywork an finish it next weekend.
Will keep you updated :-)

Would be great to get an answer to my question if somebody knwos.
Rims will be BBS CH-R in 9.5 and 10x19.

I think you're making this go by faster than most would expect. I assume you figured out that you would need a different rear control arm to use the M rear shocks? Everything looks good!

Hey guys,

i have a question regarding my sidemarkers.
What i wrong? is there a plastic sheet or something to installe the markers correct?

I ordered them directly from BMW, exactly like the fenders, but it doesn' fit. Seems to me if there is something missing? But i can't identify a part in the online etk.

Help please :-)
