Thanks bro. Ordered another one and this time I'll have it shipped to my work address. Damn this world we're living in nowadays. And I live in a "nice" neighborhood. I guess not.

Watch craigslist. The dumbass probably has no clue what to do with it.

Porch pirates are everywhere these days, except maybe gated communities. Even then, you never know for sure. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Got my car back from SpeedLogic today. I was in the process of installing my VRSF 5"fmic last weekend, saw an oil leak, put the car back to stock, and drove straight to SL.
My OFHG was leaking (52k miles on my N55, seems gasket issues are more age related than mileage related) and another gasket was also leaking. I also noticed my couplers weren't lining up correctly, which was apparently partially because I also needed a new lower charge pipe since the fitment was off. Not sure if this is a common issue for N55 uesrs, but it seems like important info to provide customers on the VRSF side, I didn't see it mentioned anywhere. Since I'm also going Stage 2+ tomorrow, I had Rob install a BMS Upper Charge Pipe as well. I also had to buy the correct VRSF couplers, the user I purchased from here seems to have sent fairly random couplers that were not the correct length. So my FMIC install turned into a double gasket replacement, fmic install, new couplers purchase, lower charge pipe purchase and upper charge pipe purchase. I'd complain, but the car is now ready to make real power and these are all parts I needed anyways, and, as always, Rob's prices were MORE than fair. Now it's time to fight my warranty company over the coverage of gasket replacements. Pure stage 2 coming this summer

Yeah, I live in a gated neighborhood. Update: Fedex did drop it off at the wrong house. Came back today and I got the package. My camera didn't pick anything up the day it was supposed to be here 'coz the dumbasses passed my house. Wow. Idiots. Oh well, I was planning to install it yesterday but now I got planned for Tuesday along with the charge pipe. Can't wait to hear how it sounds.

Good for you! I get stuff delivered to my door all the time and I always think about some thief following a UPS or FedEx or other delivery truck or cruising through the neighborhoods looking to rip people off. Luckily I work from home and usually hear the doorbell ring and promptly retrieve my package(s) before anybody else has a chance to.

Gonna have to pay him a visit to install my Dinan springs and Koni Yellows. He might have to roll my fenders and add spacers too. Oh and I think I need a new alternator soon, so he might do that at the same time lol |

Given how often we get "free shipping" on stuff, I think the shipping firms are all competing on price and have precious little left for higher pay, better training, or less-hectic work conditions. While I'd rather pay them more for better service, that's not really a choice we get to make on our own.

Actually yesterday - installed Whiteline RSFB inserts. To all the posters who said it took a couple of hours you have my respect.
Not hugely so but the improvement is noticeable.

Have heard various opinions on the inserts. Seems most are happy with them. Not that much of a difference for me, personally, but maybe I was expecting too much. Will consider doing Whiteline 2-piece or M3 bushings in the future.

Eating mexican down town Raleigh and as it happened, was able to park the car right beside the restaurant. Bonus score for being seating by the window and being able to see the car.

Took it out of storage yesterday, oil change today.
Used the usual Castrol Edge 0W-40 and tried a mann filter. Filter seemed a bit weird, didn't really want to go in and then threaded in a bit weird/sounded off. I believe it was the right filter so idk, i'll give it a try.

Saturday,
Got to meet Kyle Loftis (1320video). Really nice guy, even though I couldn't talk him over the 1er side of life. They where doing video of a drift guy, Josh Robinson, at an ice racing even up here ... I went because I heard 1320 was going to be there. I guess it was their first time ice racing, and they loved it! (as should everyone) |

65 degrees yesterday was such a nice change. Went on a nice drive to Costco for gas with windows down, no radio, and no climate control running. It was so nice to just relax and feel all the feels, and hear all the hears (?) The LSD loves to chirp the tires in otherwise calm and cool driving, I feel a bit like an ass when it does
We've also got a 3D printer (Ender-3) in our house now, so I'm getting the itch to pick-up a cheap E46 M3 intake manifold to work with and make some glorious induction noises. I'm still pondering, though, if it would be better to just hack-up a stock N52 (non-DISA) manifold like BPC did for their awesome 8200-rpm dyno run (280whp), as it (obviously) would bolt right up, and is cheaper and easier to find than an S54 manifold. 519.E82 The filters have always felt weird going in, but it's always worked-out fine. It feels like it's binding between the housing and the cap and makes a horrible squeaking sound.
