Measurements from center of wheel to fender are 13-3/4" front and 12-3/4" rear.
With the lowered height the front default camber can be near -2, even with OE top mounts. The numbers look right.

Can you give your opinion of the O&T now that you have tracked with them as well? Thanks.

I still have some tuning to do, but the dampers were flawless. COTA removed what some called "Bread Boxes" which are essentially speed bumps inside of the curbing through turns 3 - 10 also known as the esses. This allowed us to utilize the curbing and inside of the curbing. The suspension was stable over the curbing and rumble strips, so it appears the Dual Flow Valve systems does do its job.

Thanks for the info. Probably going to go R&T over JRZ RS1s.

Ok, quick question for the experts out there... Granted they are called "Road and Track," but do they improve the 1M's street ride in any way, or does R&T mean that the street ride won't degrade at the expense of improved track responsiveness?

Street ride is better than OE and adds more performance for track duty, you can't beat it!

Got to do a side by side street drive between my relatively stock suspension (camber plates only) and the Ohlin R & T. Loved the R & Ts. Not any more harsh than stock but way better control and feel.

There on my list for sure.

I'm surprised the car is still so high

I know going TOO low will harm handling

But you can go a LOT lower than that before it's an issue - those fronts really need to be fixed by ohlins in future imo :/

Not sure what you're talking about. Ohlin R&Ts are one of the only coilovers that don't adjust ride height by raising or lowering the lower spring platform.

how is it not clear? :/

they don't go much lower than factory height? lol

the front of your car is extremely high still.

most decent coilovers these days lower by threading in the shock tube, as, of course, it's a bad idea moving the spring

How do you figure? I have less than 1" front fender gap with more room to adjust if I wanted to. Only my rear adjustment is maxed out.

Care to elaborate who else makes a threaded damper or are you just talking out of your ass? What are you running on your car?

oh you can lower them more? i thought you said they were maxed out?.. just the rear? fair enough... why keep the front so high then?

they just look really high BECAUSE of said fender gap haha.

rear looks low enough though. slight tire tuck... though actual ride height is deceptive, would be about even with the fronts as is lol

who else makes them? well i run BC BR's (cheap cheap stepping stone for me), and they have threaded shock cartridge... front and rear can go to the ground (wayyyy too low lol)

Will Eibach pro kit springs work with Ohlins R&T dampers?

Your answer is no on the front, but you could use the rears without the height adjusters.

Why would you use the less than ideal(progressive rate) Eibach pro kit springs in the first place?

Coz the no 1 thing in mind is to improve the ride quality and think the Eibach progressive springs, stiffer in front and slightly softer rear (at initial rate) would help.

Dampers play a very big role in the ride quality of your vehicle. If you have a spring that is too soft and bottoms often, use that with dampers that are not capable of controlling the springs properly you will get a very poor riding vehicle.

I am new to the 1Ms, but have been driving an e46 for some time now. On some E46 coils you can remove the spring collars and the rubber collar to gain about 1/2" more drop. Is that possible with the Ohlins?

Love my 1M but the factory height is insane. The way your car sits now is how it should have rolled off the factory floor.

Never really dealt with this type of suspension before, I just don't want to damage it or anything. Thanks.

Yes, the adjustment knob will go out after the installation is completed as you will never the get adjustment knob pass the bump and rebound cushion and thrust washers.
