Just 6 ft. here, but not a problem with the powered sport seats. Do prefer to make the seatback lean more with the steering wheel telescoped all the way back rather than sitting in an almost 90 degree angle.

6-3 and 230# Seat fits fine but I wish the steering wheel telescoped more. I prefer the wheel quite close to me. Headroom okay, Prefer the wheel in the down position but when it is there I can't see the speedo or tach well enough but I will adjust. All in all not bad. I do not have the sport seats with the high bolsters though. I'm more comfortable in a lower bolster seat and less confined. Hated my S4 seats. If I was to mess around on the track much though the bolsters might be nice.

6'5 here, and have much better headroom than my s4. Haven't tried with a helmet yet but would imagine it will be a tight fit.

I'm 6'3 and I fit OK. I have the seat down at the lowest setting with a slight tilt backwards, and I'm several nothces from having the seat all the way back. I have maybe 2 inches of head room. That's with a sunroof too. I think without the sunroof you'd get a bit more space.

I'm 6'8" and fit fine with a couple different seat configurations. I have the power sport seats.

bringing this post back from the dead files... I'm thinking about selling my '08 bullitt mustang and trying to find a non sunroof 128 for autox and track. I know, it's not the best choice, but I have such a hard time finding a car I can drive with a helmet on.
I'm 6'-4 and have a tall upper torso, so fitting into a car with a helmet is a bitch for me. Does anyone on here have a non sunroof car and is tall tell me if they fit ok with a helmet? What I really need is dimensions from the seat bottom at the hinge to headliner. In my current convertible, I have plenty of head room and it measures out at ~39" from the seat hinge to the head liner. The current convertible is too nice to make into a autox car, so I'm looking for a hardtop sans sun roof. What do you non sun roof guys/gals measure? EDIT: What is the proper way to measure seat to headliner distance? I think I may be off in the way I measured... Last edited by olds350; 01-29-2019 at 02:34 PM.. |

6'3" and I fit fine (128i with non-sport seats). With a helmet is another story, but I deleted my sunroof to fix that (and lose weight).

I keep a spreadsheet where I recorded headroom from published literature for my 2009 e88 (convertible) - not exactly what you are considering. The headroom for mine is supposed to be 38.6 inches.

Driver well sizing
Hello, looking at 2014 M135i -manual. Sadly we are in extended lockdown and this vehicle is well outside of my legal travel area for now and the foreseeable future .. Manuals are in short supply but this oner seems to tick all of the boxes (low ks, reasonable package options etc) We do have an x1 and my clown feet barely feet down in the driver well for the clutch. Does anyone with large feet on here own / or have owned this vehicle and could provide any insight on driving this model with large feet? I am a US 15/16 depending on the shoe ..
Thanks! ' |

Don't know what our equivalent is to your 2014 M135i down-under (3-door? 5-door?) but in my 2013 128i E82 I wear size 45/11.5 Puma Speedcats so I don't push two pedals at once. "Normal" shoes just don't fit the pedal box but the Pumas are perfect.
