Tire Square Question
I have two sets of stock wheels for my 135i. Does anyone know if the I can square up the front using the extra rears I have with the 245 tires on them?
Thanks, |

ET52 stock rears with 12mm spacers will fit the 245/35's. If you're lowered you might have fender clearance issues and need more camber or a fender roll.

Which stock wheels do you have? I'm curious about the same thing...

I'd recommend 10mm spacers over 12, I found the 12's with 255s would rub really bad on the bumper tab. YMMV though depending on your tire brand and size.

I run square M261 rims with ~265mm tires on all four sides with 7mm spacers up front - lowered with -2* camber up front.

Mine are the stock type 261 wheels with the M option. I am really curious how much more grip you guys get running the 245's up front.
Needless to say last year I slide off the road when the front washed out on a 90 degree turn. Not sure why bmw put a 215 up front. Is it a noticeable difference in look out front? spxx would love to see a picture of what yours looks like if you don't mind. |

I'm running a square setup with 255/35 R18s on the 261 style wheels (2 sets of rears). I'm running 12mm spacers from turner motorsports up front, rolled front fenders, and shaved bumper tabs.
TC Kline DA kit with vorshlag camber plates. On track I rubbed a hole in the fuel filler plastic tube in the rear. Anyone else have that issue? As to solutions, I could put maybe a 5mm spacer on the rear, or perhaps some clever way of re-routing the fuel filler? Any ideas? Thanks! -Joe |

Similar to Joeo -
Previous track setup, and now rain setup: I'm running a square setup with Dunlop Direzza ZII SS 255/35 R18s on "261 style" wheels (2 sets of rears), with 10mm spacers up front, rolled front fenders, and shaved bumper tabs. New track setup: I'm running a square setup with Nitto NT-01 255/40 R17s on "68 style" wheels (2 sets of rears), with 10mm spacers up front.

I'm running Toyo R888s all around. dcaron9999 - did you have any issue with the fuel filler being rubbed in the rear? Are the 68 style rims from an E46 M3? Same offset as the 135i wheels?
Thanks. -Joe |

Does anyone know if I can fit 255's in the rear on the stock wheels without using spacers.
I got the spacers for the front 10mm and will be putting 245's in the front. |

255/35 R18s fit fine on the rear with the stock suspension.

I only got the 10 mm spacers for the front. I am assuming I don't need them for the rear and they wouldn't work anyway in the rear with stock suspension and 255 tires on the stock rear wheels.
Does anyone know if that is correct? |

Thanks Ginger_Extract - I went with a 3mm spacer, and I'm going to slightly modify the filler pipe. That's my plan anyway.
