Really? You can get a Cayman S for 45k? That is base right?

Great Work 1ster! Been waiting for that.
Was really hoping to Stay under $40K with options, Tax, and delivery included.
Maybe an E46 M3 Convertible for under $30K is a better idea? Seem to be plenty of them out there w/ low miles. Anybody got any thoughts on that?

Whoever is on the title can pick up the car, in person, in Munich.

No, the same destination charge as the US cars.

Any downside with Euro Delivery? Thanks.
Aside from getting hooked up for life to do this , only the extra wait for delivery. The wait typically ranges between 4-8 weeks, depending on many factors (busy factor, East/West coast etc.). If you lease, BMW pays your 2nd lease payment (while car is enroute).

There are several ways to look at Euro Delivery:
1. You pay the same price as in US, but BMW pays for a nice vacation in Europe.
2. You are doing this for the savings only (fly in, pick up, drop off and fly out same day). You shoul be able to save some $2k doing this. (But then you wait 4-8 weeks for US re-delivery).
3. Somewhere in between.
4. If you have some vacation or business plans in Europe already, then it's pure savings.

I've done it twice. IMO, it's worth turning this into a vacation, it will be an experience like no other.

Is there any way to get the oil cooler as as stand-alone retrofit? If so, any guesses on pricing? I have no interest in the rest of the sport package, but if the price of the cooler/installation is over $500 by itself (ignoring any possible warranty problems, of course), then it may make sense to bite the bullet and order the sport package anyway.

I agree when someone else said that it should be standard. I don't like how BMW is counting pennies when my car's long-term reliability is possibly at stake.

Garage List
The only option that surprised me is the Premium PKG. I was really expecting it to come in around $2200.

A 135i to a slightly used 911....WHAT ARE YOU THINKIN...LOL. A slightly used 911 is probably going to cost you around 50k.

Wow, $3300 for the unnessary crap package? Definitely don't NEED that stuff in a car like this.

I came up with $37900 on mine(Sport,metallic,Bluetooth.)

We'll see...it definitely would be my higher dollar car option.

All I want is the auto-dimming side mirrors. The bad part is I really want that, since night driving really bothers me right now. Do I want it $3300 bad? Not so sure... I think I'll be unhappy either way.

You obviously don't know how to price out a car...some options are overlapping, meaning...you get the cold weather package, you're getting the heated seats...so you can't add both.

A quick run through yielded a highest price config at $47420.

And that include HD, Premium, and SAT radio...as I don't know if they are additive or exclusive...

That being said, anyone who loads a 1er up like that isn't the target market to begin with...

pfft...I with anyone else who's fine with seeing people bitch about the pricing. If you were expecting cheap prices, you're looking at the wrong brand. And those that are saying they'll get a pontiac instead...well, I don't know how to respond to that other than to say

Nav

It blows my mind someone would pay 2100 for nav when a 300 dollar garmin would do a much better job.

Don't think this is for me!

To get comparable options as my g35, it's easily pushing well over $40 grand. I want all the modern amenities that should be standard in this class, like heated seats and but warmers, bluetooth, etc. A Microsoft In Sync, which is less than $400, is available on many Fords. You get what standard in this car? I know its a BMW, but the nickel and diming on options is pathetic. Plus, I was never sold on the look (although you can't make final judgement unless you see it in person). This helped make up my mind, I am no longer a 1 addict .
