New Track Wheels With Offsets Specifically Optimized for the E82 1 Series

The E82 1 Series is a fantastic platform that, because of its affordability, has quickly become a popular BMW to take to the track. As with many BMWs, the stock 1 Series is plagued by understeer. To combat that notorious BMW understeer, enthusiasts would traditionally install wider tires upfront as part of a square wheel/tire fitment. Rotatable, square setups are the go-to setup for most BMWs that see serious track use, so it would make sense to do the same with the 1 Series, but there’s a problem: the 1 Series is at a huge disadvantage over other popular chassis such as the E36 and E46 because of unusually tight clearances up front, as well as the significantly higher offsets the chassis requires. APEX decided to fix that by creating the ideal 1 Series track wheel fitment.

Unfortunately Silver is not an option for this initial release. When we release a new fitment for a niche application like the 1 series, we have to be selective with our finish offering as each carries a minimum production requirement.

We reviewed stats from our 18" ARC-8s for the 1 series, and the two most popular finishes over the years are Anthracite and Satin Black. These are also great finishes for track use as they do a better job hiding brake dust. That being said, if the demand is relatively strong for this fitment we may be able to add Silver in a future production.

Was also hoping for silver. My car is Space Grey and the 2 offered options wouldn't really pop. Agree about the brake dust, but personally my car is a street car 1st.
