Just got my 1M and found codes 0030FF + 0029F2

Hi everyone,

Steve from Restore It on YouTube here. I know my E30's but I really don't know modern cars well at all.

I've just picked up my first 1M, and modern BMW for that matter.

I've used the Carly ODB 2 reader and app to check the car and this was the result.

Engine:

So I've been doing some research into the 0030FF code and I'm going to do all of the necessary checks tomorrow in regards to the vacuums lines etc..

0029F2 is said to possibly be the HPFP, but is there anything I should look for first?

Is there a way I can test the HPFP?

There is a myriad of other unimportant issues on the list as well. If anyone has any insight into any of those I would really appreciate it.

Other issues:

Any advice, links or suggestions welcome.

Thanks.

High pressure fuel pump had been known to fail and will be covered under an extended warranty bulletin. 30FF is related to Boost Pressure. Check your plastic charge pipe. Known area of failure. Best to replace with metal charge pipe. Lots of aftermarket ones available. Combox error is related to Bluetooth module in the trunk.

agreed. A lot of owners proactively replaced their cheapie plastic charge pipe with aftermarket aluminum ones. Thats what I did and have had zero issues.
