White Haze on Air Vents?
Hello all,
Just wanted to see if any of you have see this before, if you knew what caused it and how to get rid of it? It's local only to the middle two vents and as you can see from the picture it's only on the top half of the vents. It's not the white powder issue a lot of other people seem to have with their car. Any expert detailers want to fill me in on could be causing this? Any help will be greatly appreciated! |

Maybe the vents are breaking down/oxidizing from exposure to the sun?

I'm honestly more interested in the cause than the fix, not quite sure why this has happened. Last edited by Sixle; 07-29-2014 at 08:35 PM.. |

I have the same thing, assuming it's due to the plastic/vinyl stuff I use on the dash/vents.

I had the same thing happen. I pulled the vents, sanded them, and painted them black.
I've used plastic conditioning products before, but it always ended up fading after a short period of time. |

I have the same thing. Just on the top half of my vents too. What i tried was a cheap magic eraser from the dollar store and it seemed to take a little off. will try with more effort....
