I'm having a local mechanic install the DP (I have horrible luck working on my own car, but not helping other people for some reason) next week.
I'm going to install the JB this Sunday. I can do that install in the garage at my place.

Well I would like to go with JK and all the other guys to the ring, but my wife is pregnant so I can't travel very far because she's due in two weeks. I definitely could meet up somewhere closer if you want. I just want to do something this weekend, I have 4 days off !!

Well ain't that the way it goes? I only have a normal 2 day weekend, but Friday is spoken for (Mainz Tattoo Expo) and Saturday is spoken for (Birthday trip to the 'Ring) and I've got a whole PILE of parts to install. Good problem to have, eh?

This thread is making me sad....
All ive been doing since being here in Shitcanistan is workout exactly what parts will be purchased while im enroute back to Germany. Seeing these threads makes me wish that wasnt 7 months from now. Please update this thread with a review of the parts you got from BMS as well as the bushings and other stuff. I am really considering doing the same setup you did from BMS, and going with a maddad whisper axleback. Also considering a few different ///M parts. Who are you having install the bushings? We will definitely need to meet up at the 'ring again next spring though. |

Don't worry... when you get back from 'Stan... we will be having some great events too! Its funny I actually forgot that you were deployed until last week, when I was gonna PM you for our JK B-Day Ring trip meet. Seems like just last week we all met in Munchen for Biers and Rick jumping up on that bench taking all of our pictures! lol We just need to plan something great for when you return here. Dave

No idea where I'm going to have the bushings installed. My normal guy doesn't have the bushing tools and the Mainz dealership is not mod friendly. I'm hoping that someone finds a reputable tuner shop before long. I also bought a K&N drop in filter, new cabin air filter, intake tube with bung (no meth plans), 2 oil filters, oil filter removal tool and "stealth" bulbs for the side markers but those parts aren't as cool as the bushings.

Sorry, I sold the Berk already.
I managed to get the JB4 and the inlet pipe installed. I also swapped out the old cabin air filter. I was going to drop in a K&N filter but they sent me the wrong one. I didn't even notice till I ripped it open, not I gotta deal with that. I met friends for an English showing of Prometheus (meh...) so I was only able to drive the car around the block once, but so far no codes...

I'm running the default map 0 now, I still haven't set up the JB4 interface for the 135 yet. I'm going to turn on map 1 on my way home.
/fingerscrossed What are the minimum specs for a laptop to do some datalogging? I haven't bought the USB cable yet but I think I'm going to as a precaution.

I turned on Map 1 and wow, it really does make a noticable difference. Traction control kicked in a few times just on the drive home.
Now I need an LSD and an empty parking lot.

I got the angel eyes installed. I need a right angle tool or some torx bits to get the damn kidneys in. I tried pulling them out, but I fear breaking a clip on my old ones. Which I want to sell eventually. The Halos look great though!

Or... get a wire coat hanger and make yourself a "right angle" tool. But everyone uses the "pull hard" method.
