53 but I feel much younger and guys half my age can’t keep up with me skiing and mountain biking. Even at the track I beat a young guy in a 2009 M3 that did not have the experience of seasoned driver.

I'm a "5" aka 58. But when I drive this car, I'm back in college. I run my alma mater sticker in the rear window.
I picked up a 2009 128i as a birthday present last month. My sixth bmw since my first one in 1975. Last edited by sixburgh; 01-18-2011 at 07:12 PM.. |

I must be honest I'm mildly suprised by the number of <25yo owning Beamers. I guess here in Australia prices are a lot more prohibitive for younger drivers (as the currency stands now - a new 135i convertible with sat-nav is close to USD$99,000 on road) |

Base model 135i coupe is $35,000 What does a 911 turboS cost there? Those prices are worse than china

Older buyers have less interest and time for forums and as a result they are underrepresented here. The only way you'll obtain a reasonable ballpark guess would be to start with the average age of 3-series coupe buyers and fudge the number in one direction or another by a couple years based on price/size/etc. My guess; avg age of a 1 series buyer = avg age of 3-series coupe buyer +/- 3 years. |

There was no intention of finding a 100% accurate number. Also a sneaky way to see what the average age of people posting in this forum is. But overall, I expect that the avg age might be about 2-3 years younger then the 3 series as you mentioned. |
