Heyyyy, why are you quoting ME on this? For the record, I compiled zero data on any of these vins, well, except for my own beloved, and shall take no credit for the hard work and time BP and Bama put in, nor shall I be blamed for any potential errors. I should be absolved of all responsibility. Also, I was told there would be no math. I just re-arranged a couple that looked like they hadn't sorted properly on their list.

Having said that, I was curious and checked a couple of the coupe vins you listed and you do appear to be right though. We shall alert the authorities.

Sorry, I did not read the whole thread. I just saw your post with the list of VINs and decided to compare it with my data.

No worries, just messing with you, but I also know it was a lot of really tedious and hard work they did trying to put together all the info as best they could. I am way too lazy to have ever compiled such a list and detailed charts. I'm sure when they get up in the morning they'll take a look and probably adjust accordingly. Good thing I didn't put it in my signature...ehem...Chunner.

There you go, no good deed goes unpunished. Like greg said he was helping out with my initial sloppy sorts that I did to list the production sequence.

Regarding the missing vins, I found a couple of anomalies in the vin data returned by the various sites. For example if you search for VM13712 at http://www.rubmw.ru/vincode/eng/ VM13640 is returned.

Thanks for your comments and research. Your verification of the data is greatly appreciated.

Peace

Here is my data for the 135is Coupe. I'll make the spreadsheets for convertibles and M Sport Edition later on.

Hmm, now I'm confused. Thought we were at 614 total IS coupes but that's showing 586?

Sick, thanks for the additional data check - nice to know there's another person out there with the "sickness" and way too much time on their hands to feed it

I'll review your numbers and see if one of the ones you have listed is missing and will update my coupe build chart

Does this mean I'm not 400/613? Please don't make me go back and change my signature.

Just kidding. You guys rock. Thanks for putting all this together.

Pretty remarkable that with all this data we are talking about several vins. You guys are something else.

Any one checking my convertible numbers?

Oh yeah a nod to greg, isn't he the guy who instigated this?

Aww, why you gotta call us "vinyl?" We prefer to be called, "leatherette." Just kidding, but interesting that I will have shifted down one then from 298 to 297.

My question though just for confirmation, since this may have not been clear back in the day, was your 614 then includes the Canadian models? I'd always thought before that BP backed those numbers out and treated them separate, but equal.
