Koni Yellows with Eibach OEM Sport Springs showed up two days ago, and all the new mounting hardware from FCP showed up yesterday! I can't wait to install them and get rid of these blown shocks that seem like they're factory-original with 165k miles on them!

Really really easy mod that is a big plus for safety (and aesthetics).
Wish you took pictures. I keep wanting to do this. I just store my headrests in the trunk until I have passengers.

IT WAS EXACTLY LIKE THAT! Like riding in a couch sitting on an old 1970's Cadillac, it was THAT bad!

But not any more!

My dad and I did all four corners today, with all-new mounting hardware. The car rides so much better now, the turn-in is sharper, it doesn't crash over sharp bumps anymore, and doesn't have a floaty feeling through the bends or cresting over hills at speed. I need to take it to some serious twisties to see how I like the damping settings. Right now, the rears are at Koni's factory settings and I adjusted the fronts to half way between stiff and soft, so far, so good! Tomorrow I need to do a quickie alignment, and I'll probably pull the camber pins, to relieve some of the ever-present front-end push. The springs are also fantastic, they are the perfect strength and the ~1-inch lowering hasn't hampered the usefulness, and it makes it look much sportier. Overall, I'm extremely happy, though I'd like to say that adjusting the rear shocks will be a tad annoying (non-external adjustment). Now, it's time for an Oil Change, and possibly a coolant flush.

It needs a bath and a good waxing, and I'll have a new profile picture.

Unbent and reinstalled 550i SSK shift lever on N55 6MT gearbox.
A bit of a pain, but love the result!
Knob about 3/4 inch higher than stock.
Snick-snick action.
1st - to 2nd through reduced (at base of ZHP knob) from 70 to 58mm.

Washed it. Changed the oil and installed the stahlbus drain valve. Cleaned up the exhaust tips. Next weekend belts and maybe transmission/diff fluids.

Ordered my drivers door actuator and gave it a thorough bath yesterday. Took off the wheels and cleaned/waxed them, wiped down the calipers and rain-x'd the glass. Vacuumed the interior and wiped everything down too.

Removed the horizontal fins from the air scoops on the front bumper. Makes for a more aggressive looking front end. Used a sawzall to get most of the fin out and touched up with a dermal.

Followed up with a rear seat delete. Was a pretty easy minus the two T30's that hold the hinge in place for the folding seat backs. Might use some plywood and automotive carpet to separate the trunk from the cabin, but not sure yet.

Finished with a quick vacuum of the car as I found a lot of dirt and spare change under the rear seat. Ended up with $6.35 and treated myself to lunch with the previous owners lost change.

That sounds interesting. Could you post a photo? Did you remove the fin assembly, cut, and then reinstall?

There's a whole thread on this somewhere, do some searching for 135i duct fin and the like

Yeah I can post some pics. I'm "working" right now but I can snap some pictures in a few minutes and post them up. And no I didn't remove the assembly. I just used painters tape to cover up the bumper near the fin and marked where I wanted to cut with the sawzall. I left about a half inch of material from the fin left over to take off with the dremel. Started with a cutting disk and finished with a smoothing bit. Managed to get it done without any nicks or bumps.
