128i vs 135i Exhaust

I was wondering whats the different between 128i exhaust system and 135i system?

It look´s like is same exhaust ?

BTW, the 135i tips are satin black.

under exterior and aerodynamics i believe it reads black chrome-plated exhaust tips.

Okej, so it is only the tips thats the different ? So i can put a 135i exhaust on my 128i ? what could happend ? Like if i put the hartge exhaust on my 125i ?

To my understanding, the exhaust on the 1 series models are completely different. They are tuned to the respective engine to provide optimal pressure and noise control. Keep in mind these are two different engines (N52 vs. N54). Although they are based on the same concepts and displacements, the intake/exhaust/ecu settings/compression ratio etc are totally different.

Is one louder than the other? I'm assuming it would be the 135i.

the 128i is probably a little louder than the 135i because turbos tend to make engines a bit quieter.

Is there not an extra resonator in the 128 exhaust that is not present in the 135?
