Armrest Storage Mod

I hated how my armrest couldn't actually be used to store anything, due to the useless phone cradle. So I decided to hack it up and this is how it turned out.

For those not brave enough to cut things, there's an OE version without the snap-in adapter available, too.

Nope. Have one in my car. It is a factory accessory, part of the "apps" package.

Looks great! I store a small notepad and pen in there at the moment. Wish you showed how to remove the armrest.

Hm. Need to decide whether to delete the arm rest or do this now. I like it. Congrats due to the OP, be it a few years late or not.

Ok but it's not pretty. Lol. I cut off the back part not realizing I needed it. I see there is a couple things i can do to fix it. But it's in the center console and I'm not real worried about it until I finish a few larger projects

with a bit of patience and planning the cuts, following OP's photos, i am quite happy with the results. i didnt have any carpet and was too lazy to go get but i think i can always glue some thick carpet to the inside if i get some later.

and stuffed with random crap to show depth....

i've got the storage bin at the top of the dash, but this added storage does help.

I like the cloth insert ideas. Gets noisy with stuff moving around.
