M-style are over priced and their fitters/technicians or whatever you want to call them are a bunch of monkeys!

I would negotiate prices down for parts only from there and wouldn't trust them to fit ANYTHING on my cars let alone map it!

Try B+W Chip Tune in West London, Jason knows what he is doing with BMW maps.

Agreed...... Stay away from M Style.

You CAN NOT go wrong with Evolve!! Thos guys are great and realy know what they are doing....

They did everything on my 135i - the intercooler the downpipes and the custome remap to 420BHP.....

They are very well priced too..... If you mention that Daniel from the forum told you they might even give you a lil discount ? ? ?

Good luck, and its a great car, specially once its mapped :0

As everyone else has said, DON'T DO IT @ mstyle. Get yourself a JB4, you can install it yourself in 1 hour, have a selection of maps to choose from + disable it when your car goes in for a service.

Your welcome to come and look @ my JB4 install.

Another vote for Evolve, they remapped my 130i. Good results with before and after dyno runs. Very helpful and friendly bunch of lads!

Hey guys - i'm new here and so not allowed to start a new thread but i wanted some opinions.
I have a 59 reg 135i (currently all stock) - and i've been thinking of getting the prior design 1M kit (i love the look of the 1M but im in no position to buy one still being 21 yrs old) - as well as lowering it slightly - i've also been talking to mstyle in romford and looks like the entire conversion (including new rims, mirrors etc ) will cost me about £6k - am i crazy to do this ? And is there anyone you could reccomend to do the work better than Mstyle

Thanks in advance for any advice

Welcome aboard, what do you think of the car then?

I'll be brief as I'm on my iPhone and it's a pita typing but felt I needed to say something.

I do think you're crazy going with the above as you'll never recoup the 6k when you move on. Have you checked insurance yet?

How long have you had the car? If not long I'd just enjoy it as it is and research some of the other mods available. Suspension, LSD and chipping. Have you been in a modded 135i?

I personally prefer the sleeper look of the 135i over the 1M as if suits where my car is kept.

As for the MStyle bashing, I have used them for minor bodywork and was happy with their work. But for tuning I'd use either one of the companies that specialise in that area (evolve, dms, birds ...) but if I knew then what I know now I'd start with a Cobb. I did have issues after tuning and it was eventually identified that my VANOS solenoid was iffy.

Where abouts in the country are you based?

Thanks for the advice - First Off I am absolutely loving the car as it is - I am based in central london and do a fair bit of town driving. Because of this i feel the car has plenty of power as it is but i just wish it looked a bit meaner. I got the car in December to replace my Audi S3 which was stolen during a burglary. I went and test drove the 135i and loved the power and the way it drove right away and bought it(probably slightly hastily) as I wanted to replace my Audi as quickly as possible (it was my 21st Bday present and i was pretty heartbroken)

I Suppose i Just want to make my car look a bit special to separate it from every single 118 Msport i see driving around that look exactly the same - and i figured that the 1M kit was the best option - unless anyone else has any ideas ?

Over to you ...

I love the fact that my debadged 135 doesn't attract attention, especially living in London. That's a positive as far as I'm concerned, and if you've recently had a car nicked, then making your replacement more noticeable is lunacy IMHO....

Spend the money on other things (decent suspension and LSD for example from Birds) not on a tacky fake bodykit ...... and especially from M-Style.

Angel light LED bulb

I have the stock E82 xenons with angel eye. I want to replace the stock yellow-tinge angel eyes to a bright LED colour. Looking on the net and M-style website there are various options out there - would there be any particular bulb you would recommend before I pick one from a hat?!

Do you mean having your car mapped? What car?

I've used them before and was happy with the service, but it was not for mapping. Assuming your talking mapping I'd use a specialist like evolve, dms ... Or even a jb4. All depends on your car.

Where you based?

Edit: Just seen your profile and sig. An M5, so you can ignore most of my comments. However I'd still suggest Evolve.
