New BMS Oil Catch Can..

BMS has a little surprise for us coming out in early December! The BMS N54 oil catch can. They've designed it from the ground up for easy install, good oil/air separation, and most importantly high flow! It's a from the ground up new two piece CNC design with absolutely no welding. The inner diameter on the hosing is > 16.5mm which is larger than the smallest part of the OEM system meaning no flow restriction. It mounts on the cold side of the engine in one of two locations, under the cowl or by the diverter valves. The cowl location features insanely short high flow hoses and keeps it completely out of sight. The DV location allows for easier access and a more visible look. You simply unscrew the base and pour out the contents every few months. The production version is anodized black.

The best part is the price. They are targeting an intro price of only $179! This will easily be the be all end all N54 catch can. I'll update this thread with more info as I get it!

I'm in. According to my dealer my RR can was causing too much pressure in the engine and it ruined a gasket. Such fun.

Narrow tubing. The inlets in the can were probably about 1/4". I haven't had an issue with the dealer trying to upsell me unnecessary repairs in the past, and they did replace all the fuel injectors during that visit and fix some other stuff, so I trust that they weren't lying about it. The tech's description was that when the turbo pressure rises the crankcase pressure rises and pushes oil through the valve cover gasket, he said the hoses on the OCC are too small compared to the factory hose. I had the gasket replaced by Stett along with all the spark plugs since that was due also and had him pull the can off at the same time.

But that was a Riss part, what can you expect? I doubt this BMS can will cause any problems.
