hehe, those will be powder coated tomorrow, was going through this thread for some inspiration

That is vintage gold plasti dip + glossifier & brakedust pretty much 'baked' into the plasti dip.
Plasti dip doesnt like trackdays
it's a mess to keep the color as is, hence the switch to powdercoating.

Still no idea what to go for, was thinking of a darker gold again but now that the anthracite OEM 19''s are back on the car, the gold kinda feels cheap...

edit: They'll be painted instead of powdercoated.
I discussed it with the paint shop and i'll try a slightly yellowish bronze (if that makes any sense at all )
I'll get to see a sample of what they come up with in a couple of days.
The idea is to get something like the rear wheel of this (badly edited on my phone) picture:

Thanks a lot Artemis for posting those autogespot pics, I wasn't even aware 'till I started looking for inspiration in here

You will need camber plates to avoid rubbing. Most go with a 275/35/18 tire setup. Hope this helps.

For your 1M, we would recommend for you to have camber plates in order to use the 18x10" ET25 wheels with a 275/35/18 sized tire to have adequate fender clearance. The OEM suspension does not allow for enough negative camber to be able to utilize a 275/35/18 tire with the 18x10" ET25 wheel without rubbing.

Great looking 1M, mangotangoe. Is that the 18x9.5" ET22 wheel with a 265/35/18 Michelin PSS?

18x10.5" ET27 wheel with a 285/35/18 Michelin PSS,
Need small spacer (3mm) on front to clear aftermarket suspension

Fall Photoshoot: ARC-8 18x9.5et22 Anthracite and VO

Square set up on 18x9.5et22 (shod with 275/35/18 RE-11s). Was going to try 265s, but Costco couldn't get them. Had to use Vorschlag Camber plates up front, and the fronts still rub a bit (only notice when in reverse and 80% of full lock). I'm not sure I'm satisfied with the gap up front, but I'm trying to avoid fiddling with the stock suspension. Also, when the tires are cold, I get some vibration (gets better when warm tires or warm weather). I don't think there is any significantly abnormal wear patterns, even though I've got the camber neg 1.8 up front (stock is neg 0.8-0.9 according to the alignment sheet).

Seems like a very wide tire to go on 9.5's (tho LOOKS ok!); I thought RE-11's only came in 285/30/18? Any reason you went with 9.5 instead of, say, 10?

You are totally correct. I meant to say I wanted to buy the tires that Apex recommended for the 18x9.5ET22 rims (265/35/18), but I only could get the 275/35/18 from Costco. 285 WOULD be very wide.

Apex recommended the 9.5 because I didn't want to change the suspension, I was trying to avoid rubbing, and I wanted a square setup.

While none of the wheels we carry are the same style as the 359M OEM wheels, we'd say that our EC-7 wheels are the closest in spoke design:

What do you think?
