Looks like they're discontinuing these tires. I tried to order a set yesterday with no luck.

I guess I'm back to looking at SuperSports

Here in the US they are available. I got mine at a local shop, with 2 day delivery & free installation. Tire rack has them in stock too but I prefer to buy locally when I can (10% rule).

Weird. I was in a firestone yesterday asking for a pair of 235/40-18s and a pair of 265/35-18's and they said that they're out and that they are phasing them out.

TireRack still has them in stock.

I am thinking of going 245/275 with these once my current set is worn out which will be by then end of this season. I know the fronts will fit for me with my camber. The rear will be close.

I was able to get them in my GTI size at a Firestone, but when I looked up sizes for the 135i, it doesn't seem to be available. Doesn't hurt to call the local Firestone to see if they can get them, otherwise, Tirerack.

My OE run flats still have miles left on them, can't wait for them to wear out so I can try these.

PSA (again)

DO NOT use these tires in snow. And if you must, drive safely and don't let anyone push you around.

That would be the same for most Summer specific tires, with some exceptions.

What tire pressures are people running with the FFI500? I put mine at the pressure noted on my door - Front 36 psi, Rear 39. They feel pretty firm. Good response but a bit stiff.

Mid low 30's seem to work/ware best for me. about 34 front and 32 rear.

Yes. Seems to help with turn in a little. Otherwise they feel just a little slow.

I'm close to that 36F/34R as well on the street. I honestly just take the car to get coffee or run errands when I don't feel like lugging the X5 around. 39psi would be pretty harsh I'd think.

They are decent in the rain.... but snow?! I'd pass (unless it was sleet and I had no choice...)

Checked my pressures an it was up at 40 all around. Dropped them to 38/36 & the ride is much better. Planning to adjust a bit more & see how it feels. Surprising how much different a few lbs of pressure feels on the road.

Has anyone fitted the FFIndy500s in a 235/265 size on the stock 7.5/8.5 wheels?

I doubt it'll fit without rubbing. If they even fit on the stock wheels.

Ran them on my 335i after my Conti DW Exteremes. It only made me want the Contis back. Steering is more vague, feels softer, more wandering around and just felt less sporty. traction is about the same for acceleration. Also, the corners are more rounded alook wierd to me. Seems like there ls less contact width due to the rounded corners.

Won't buy again. Oh, wait! Discontinued??? Well there you go then! LOL

I fitted 245/45-17's on 17x7.5 wheels. Very meaty look which is great. A little numb in response, but has great overall grip.

245/45/-17's square? Do they rub? I was thinking about going 225 45 17's square with the Indy 500's but like the idea of 245's.

I had to roll the rear fenders, and the karrousel at Shenandoah made the tires eat through the top corners of my front bumper. They don't rub...anymore
