My effing car is not getting shipped from SC since 10th. I am gonna kill some fish. Today my CA says probably friday. PHUCK YOU. I am pissed.

Looks like the Triton Highway is docked in Charleston.

So now the big question is how many days at the prep center, then how long to get to Detroit... under a week total?

I can tell you that it is not under a week unless I am very unlucky. my car hit port on 10th and still waiting. this is for ohio

That's a bummer of a deal. Given that we're in the same area I'll be disappointed to hear that the car will sit for a week before getting on a truck. I wonder if that has anything to do with the particular dealer, or if it's a backup in the prep center ... I assume there are things done to the car after it gets off the boat, as well as at the dealer?

Either way, hopefully you'll get on a truck soon and get your ride. I'm hoping to have mine before the 4th of July.

I just learned today that my car is also in transit. I had no idea you can track position at sea! I am impressed, Jimmydean! Oddly enough, the day mine is supposed to dock in LA I am flying to Europe, go figure!

I looked at sailx but it seemed like it was designed for racing. Perhaps it is more up to date, but for me it is a wondrous curiosity just to track a ship at sea. I found this link and it seems reasonable to me.

Don't worry when you can't find the boat later. That page can only track the boats when they're near shore, apparently. It also never showed my boat (Triton Highway) in port in Charleston, SC. I had to go to vesseltracker.com for that port, for some reason.

Called to check in with my CA because the OC webpage hadn't updated my status. Based on ship tracking, the boat should have dropped the car off on the 19th. CA says it's not being dropped until the 24th. So I'm not exactly sure if they told me the wrong boat or what. Realistically it only adds a week to the wait, but what a letdown.

Anyone else with a build date near 5/26 know if your car's at the prep center?

This may be the best way to buy a new car...This wait will definitely make me appreciate it a lot more on that first drive and beyond

I got the date of my PC delivery, July 21st. My car is to be in Charleston June 25th so I was hoping for earlier but that is what they had for me. I will be with customers most of the previous week so it is not to bad. It should allow plenty of time for getting off the ship and up to Greer.

Having a date has also caused me to be less anxious. I do not know about you but not knowing exactly what to expect seems to have been a good bit of why I was anxious.

I should really get rid of one of my 2 current cars and clean up the garage so I can get the new BMW and my 3 year old SUV both into it (might need to sell the riding lawn mower I never use). In a couple weeks, maybe I'll order some accessories so I have them when I get the 128i convertible.
