Hankook Ventus K12

I ordered a set to replace my runflats. They were inexpensive and the only ones hat had front and rear for my car in stock.

What are some opinions on the tire?

I will not be using them in any auto X or circuit track as my 135i is my DD.

I know ride quality improves and the usual. But what about road noise?

Tread life?

Any help is appreciated.

Did you mean the v12? If its the v12's I have v12's on my 2007 tahoe (20"). Pretty good dry traction, not very noisy. Wet weather traction sometimes sketchy at least on my heavy tahoe

I recently purchased a new set of 19" wheels for my 135i and I went with the V12 Evos on the new wheels. The ride is much improved over the OEM runflats. These are my 3rd set of V12 Evos on 3 different cars and for the money I don't think you can find a better performance tire. The provide good traction, both wet and dry, have good treadwear and are not noisy. Sure there are a few better performing tires on the market, but they are going to cost you a lot more.

thanks for the reply... Thats just what I was looking for, a good performing alternative to the rough riding RFT and the price was too good to pass up. $500 shipped.

Yeah the V12's my bad.... glad you had good experience with them. I'm in Texas and we just passed our rainy season so wet weather traction shouldn't be an issue. Thanks for the response

Hankook Ventus V12 tires are really nice for the price. They offer good grip at an affordable price, so they're definitely a good bang for the buck street tire. If you are going to track your car hard though there are other brands that would hold up better.

I bought them at the beginning of the year and found them to be pretty quiet and an all around good tire.

I have V12s. After installation I noticed a weird clicking noise coming from my wheels.. not sure if its the tires or something else, but everywhere I go to get it looked at can't find the solution. Not the brakes, not the suspension, not anything it seems! Probably not the tires, but the noise only started after getting them installed!

However, the dry traction is pretty good. Not PSS/PS3 good, but very good. Wet traction is remarkable for a tire in this price range. Not very noisy, but the ride is very mushy and the steering feedback isn't all that great. But going from a stiff-sidewalled run flat tire to a mushy sidewalled V12 will do that to you.

I bought a set a few months ago and I like them. Can't beat the value for a street tire. Good grip, both wet and dry, and not noisy. I would buy them again.

local dealer plus some haggling skills. I used to buy tires for my wrx back when I autocrossed so I've bought several sets from them.

the 135i won't be tracked....yet. but a week in they perform great just for city driving.

Might take that in to a mechanic (the clicking noise). I agree the ride became "mushy" but on the streets I use daily the stiff-sidewalled RFTs were rough on the back and embarrassing for the passenger

If you have a tune or occasionally track the car then consider something like Michelin PSS. I went from V12's to PSS...night & day difference.
I have a "buddy" with his 135i running an accessport and finds the v12 evos sufficient for daily use. No doubt the Michelin are a better tire, however.
