As my second ever post on this forum in two years, I'll confess that I have also been invited from London as a representative of the UK. Much looking forward to Leipzig! And yes, my good friend in Leipzig tells me the Westin is a decent hotel...
I test-drove an M3 coupe (manual) last w/end and found it curiously less nimble than the 135i and ever so slightly clunkier-feeling. Nice noise for sure, and lots of poke. But then my 135i goes almost as well and makes a fantastic noise courtesy of its Performance exhaust (no other mods), even if it doesn't rev to north of 8k like the M3. Came away feeling the M3 would be better with the DCT box. Will be very interested to see if the 1M can cure the 135i's tendency to feel too civilised and normal most of the time. I'd like something a bit more lunatic!

Are you considering an M3 as well ad 1M? Interested to see which you prefer after your test drive. |

Cheers. Yes, I am. In 4dr DCT guise. Also (whisper the heresy) considering the C63 - had a play in one at M-B World last w/end as well and it was very enjoyable indeed. Much more of a hooligan in a suit than the M3, which is quite sober by comparison...unless you provoke it.
