130i flash and OBD Readiness monitors
Hi, I've been running the Bimmerlabs 130i flash for 6 months or so, and I went to get my car inspected today.
For the OBD readiness monitors it showed a few things like "Evap System", "A/C", "Catalyst heater" as "Unsupported". If it said "Not Ready", I'd just keep driving around till it was ready, but I imagine "Unsupported" means that that the car thinks it doesn't have these options. Has anyone ran into this, and is there a fix? I've been searching up and down but haven't seen it mentioned by anyone. Can I code evap system and stuff into the VO? Any help is appreciated. |

Sorry to necromance this thrread but I ran into the same problem (failed ma inspection) so flashed back to a stock tune from bimmerlabs.
Now evap is supported but a/c and heated catalyst and secondary air are still unsupported . I'm pretty sure n52 does not have secondary air or electrically heated cat so maybe I'm ok... Now waiting for evap to hit "ready" before bringing it back. |

I think the Evap fault code is related to the vapor leak diagnosis pump.
We don't have it in Euro cars. Part number 16137193479 You would try disconnecting the pump connector and clear the fault code. That is, when the 130i flash is used. Last edited by MOD.Works; 02-25-2023 at 11:59 PM.. |

I don't have a fault. When i went to get inspected, it failed because the evap monitor was "not supported" due to the euro 130i tune (thanks for confirming!). I reflashed the stock tune and now it is just "not ready" but presumably will be ready once I do some more drive cycles.
Can anybody confirm that it is normal for the heated catalyst and secondary air and a/c monitors to be "not ready"? |
