I had the ZZ2 unit installed and it's 4 1/2 stars.
Some issues with blaring loud text messages, etc that is probably more of an Apple issue than the fault of the ZZ2 system. It integrates flawlessly. Cost about $1000 installed. Def worth it for me. |

Hi, just install the Andream CIC CarPlay box for my 2009 135i. I’m having this weird issue where it goes back to the OEM menu from the CarPlay screen every time I turn the blinker on! I can’t figure out what’s causing it. Everything seems to work. Anyone experience this?? Thanks.

Andream unit not working!
I recently purchased an Andream unit to install in my E88 128i with IDrive (cic).
The problem I have is that once I incerted the Andream harness in the IDrive controler it does not work at all, not in Andream or IDrive. Also I get an electrical problem check - visit shop pictogram in the cluster. Did any of you get this kind of problem installing Andream system? Thanks |

Though, I'm not sure if it differs between e82 vs e88. We're all on e82's here I believe. Last resort, contact the seller. They have a whatsapp and are fairly responsive |

Hi,
I did a quick reassemble and test this morning, and I got the Andream to work (partially). I got the IDrive controler to work, and the electrical problem warning to go away by switching ON dip switch #4. Dip switch #1 does not seem to do a lot at this moment. I managed to hook my phone to the mmi using Android Auto. The problem I still have is that there is no sound. I got the car on AUX as moved the volume to near max, turned on the car volume. I hear some crackle, but no music, or driving direction. Any idea what could cause this. I figure it is a configuration problem. |

That's good to hear. I haven't seen the audio issue. But just confirming that you plugged the aux cable coming out of the andream unit into your car, correct? If that doesn't work. I'd try possibly 1. check your device settings again, make sure DND is disabled, volume is up, android auto is updated, etc 2. try plugging in another device, preferably an iphone to see if it's a device issue 3. try updating the andream unit. it's relatively simple as long as you have a USB. there's guides and links here - https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...9%20site:1.6.9 |

As per your recommendations
1. check your device settings again, make sure DND is disabled, volume is up, android auto is updated, etc:No problem here, the device is updated, DND is off etc 2. try plugging in another device, preferably an iphone to see if it's a device issue: I tried it with my wife's phone, she's got a iphone, same issue 3. try updating the andream unit. it's relatively simple as long as you have a USB. there's guides and links here - https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...9%20site:1.6.9 : I looked at the post, It is kind of confusing According to this, i need: Andream [CIC] [ISPBOOOT.BIN] v2.1.0.4.gpe.c (PIN: 2863) (Not cross compatible) v2.1.0.7.gpe.c (PIN: 2863) (Not cross compatible) v2.1.0.9.gpe.c (PIN: 2863) (Not cross compatible) -- AA widescreen fix MCU 20.4.22.12 (Not cross compatible) MCU 20.6.18 (Cross compatible with RoadTop CIC) MCU 20.9.29.13 (Cross compatibility unknown) I downloaded theses files and they are 2-3 years old. Not really an update! Also, do I need both files on the usb thumb drive? |

All right, all right, all right!
I found the issue. I needed to connect the audio ground wire to the car. I have not found any information regarding this. I connected the stripped wire to a bare metal part in the car and BOOM! I heard music! I still need to clarify the potential software update, as of now, I'm using: SDK Version: 25.0.0.7.0.0.2.0 CUST Version : EW_CHL_1.6.11_n MCU Version: 20.12.1.18 HW Version: B_CHL The information provided concerning updating goes back to 2019, and what I have in the MMI is more recent then this. I have contacted Andream about this, and it takes them about 20 hours to respond, as they are literally on the other side of the world. Thanks again z0mghii |
