With almost 200k on an N54 I’d be very interested in hearing what sort of maintenance issues you’ve had.

I would also be interested to see what issues you have run into. My vehicle has seen the hpfp, water pump, and OFHG replaced. Coming up on 170k miles and everything is still going strong from what I can tell. It would be great to know what might lie around the next corner...

What kind of timepoints did the HPFP / water pump / OFHG need to be done? Still on the original turbos and wastegates?

I had the HPFP, OFHG, and water pump replaced at around 165k. The fuel filter finally threw a code after causing some rough idle, limp mode issues I chased for a month. The OFHG was found to be leaking so I had the dealership do them both. The water pump failed two days after picking up the car. They were nice enough to cut the labor in half due to this for replacing the water pump.

Still on original turbos and wastegates but that is up for evaluation. I have been having a very slight smoke issue over the last month. I can't be sure if its white or blue smoke as its only apparent when I come to a stop during the first 20 minutes of a drive after the car has sat all night in the garage. It also doesn't smoke at every stop. So far, spirited driving between stops doesn't affect the presence of smoke. I believe the turbo seal might finally be failing though. More to come if the problem gets worse though.

Bought mines on 37 950km on January the 1st, and iv only taken her out once for a breakfast run!

I just have one question to ask the 1M community, How do guys own these cars and not drive them? It was such an incredible driving experience, the dynamics, handling all surpassed my very modified e92 n54 in every single aspect

In answer to your question, How do guys own these cars and not drive them? Usually I can only not drive it for about 2 days before I have to take it out which includes driving it to work.

I know i am also guilty of this, but it feels such a shame to have such a drivers car become a garage queen. Here in South Africa, where we got 110 cars, the really low mileage one's ( Sub 10-000km) are advertised for R800 000 to R900 000 South African Rands whilst the ones that my car's mileage falls into( 30 000km to 50 000km), they vary in price between R650 000 to R800 000.

I am not sure about other owners, but honestly i bought mines to both drive and with its "future" value/rarity in mind

Totally agree. The lower the mileage the worse I feel for the car and owners!

Original owner of a BSM stripper. Approximately 29,900 miles, including my very first drive 900 miles from the dealer in Connecticut to home in Georgia. No major service issues other than having to replace two electrical harnesses due to rodent damage.

38K and about to get back on the road more regularly after a couple of very low mileage years. Almost sold it a couple of years ago but just couldn't do it.
