Designed from the ground up, all in-house, with an emphasis on design and strength, our team set out to make the best Carbon Fiber hood for the E82 market. We are now proud to release the SLeK Carbon Fiber M3 Style Hood. This hood is made with our VARTM technology which insures perfect fitment, durability and stiffness. The hood is 100% hand made in California with raw materials from the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, France, UK, Italy and Australia. As well as having highly trained and experienced carbon fiber experts crafting the hood.
Just like any piece in our Carbon Fiber line of products, we aim to achieve both looks and function. This hood is no different. The stock OEM hood weighs a massive 44lbs, our double sided hood weighs 16 pounds and single sided is 21lbs. That is up to a 63.64% weight reduction! But you can’t have just function, which is why our in house designer spent countless hours making sure that this hood flows with the lines of the car. He made sure that the hood would look aggressive yet subtle for a best of both worlds combination. To do this he decided to use the M3 style power dome but instead of just putting it on the hood and calling it a day he made sure to adjust the size and length of it to match the body style of the car. He could have just wrapped up the hood right there but here at SLeK we don’t do the bare minimum. After making the M3 power dome fit to the car he made sure that the side lines of the hood would be aggressive as well to match the style of the car and flow with the lines of the car. Thus making our SLeK M3 style hood both functional and amazing looking with a subtle yet aggressive design that will compliment any car. The SLeK Carbon Fiber M3 Style Hood requires nothing more than simple hand tools to install. It utilizes the factory brackets and hardware. There is no cutting, trimming or replacing of the factory brackets. SLeK does recommend professional installation of the hood due to the nature of hood alignment. Like all of our products at SleK this hood is completely constructed of carbon fiber and/or the latest epoxy resins to obtain the lightest weight and yet yield the highest strength possible. Using the best materials available is how SLeK excels at producing high quality parts that are both strong and light. Using all of the best technology and materials that we have incorporated into the SLeK Carbon Fiber M3 Style hood, we are able to offer the strongest and lightest carbon fiber hood on the market which still retains OEM fitment. New mold being made. Will be ready to make hoods in around 8 weeks.
