PM'd. I'm in the South West so a bit of a trek from Lancashire. I would suggest that you scout around your local dealers tomorrow. Because it's launch day, I think you've got a fair chance of catching people picking up their cars that may well have been hidden around the back of the Dealer for a week or two!

As for a review, I don't have much to compare it to, as have only briefly test driven the 135i. This will be my first real wheel drive car.

Will definitely take loads of photos though!

Just wanted to echo Boxercup's statement by wishing all UK buyers luck in picking up their 1M's today.

Oh and if you see or hear of AW and BSM cars on display (ideally together) in and around London and the South East, please let me know. If you can tear yourselves away from your car for a minute ot two!

Not much point in splashing out on a big launch when they're already sold out?

I was told yesterday by my dealer that there would not be an official launch (party/press release etc.) due to it not being a mass production vehicle i.e. like other BMWs.

And as mentioned, all allocation is gone so they don't really need to promote the vehicle.

Are you sure they are sold out ? I heard that they have only sold 300-350 of the 450 available ? Its great news if they have sold out status wise

I can't say for sure - only that I personally saw 4 1M's at my dealer's site this week, they've sold more than a dozen as a group (3 sites) and have been told by BMW HQ that there all gone and they can't get any more!

Cool, lets hope the prices stay firm now as they wont be discounting left over stock. I am not surprised if they have all sold out the reviews have been mighty

I'd be surprised if they had sold out, i placed a deposit yesterday and this morning spoke to a dealer who said they had slots available.
