You said in your PM it was hitting the exhaust, is that what was causing the holes to not line up? The DCT may be a little different in that way that I was not aware of. If all four of the holes lining up needed to shift in the same direction to clear the exhaust, let me know. You did tell me it was like about 1/8 inch. I can incorporate that in another jig just for the DCT's if that the case.
I'll PM this to you as well in case you are not subscribed. Last edited by BMWX1-35i; 03-22-2015 at 09:16 AM.. |

If anyone has a custom exhaust or a DCT, I can make a bracket that will work. You just need to let me know and send me a picture looking at the pumpkin from the rear. I will need a clear view to see what would interfere with the normal bracket. The side rails will look different then what is shown here but it will work. No extra charge.

I have come up with a modification for the DCT's to mount this bracket. I'll have a pic up in the next day or so for you to see. I'm working on it for a order I got in and I know from one other order the DCT's for some reason from the axle back exhaust section run a little different then the rest of the 1 series. I know its a bit tight in that area so, it made the difference of not fitting or re-drilling the mounting holes in the diff bracket.
It is what it is, I'm just working around the issues as they come up. My bracket has legs welded on each end which is what gives it all the rigidity. So, I changed the exhaust side to accommodate the DTC's or other guys who have after market exhaust thats interfering with things. This is only for the DCT's.

Here's the DCT bracket which will also work on any large diff. So other then this being specific to the DCT 1 series, the non-DCT owners can have which ever one you like, the original or the DCT version as the DCT version will fit both the DCT or non-DCT. It allows more clearance for the DCT axle back exhaust to clear the bracket. It very tight in that area, this will work on both none DCT's as well. But I can build both, what ever you like.

The lockdown functions just as well as other high priced units. Can't really beat it price-wise.
