eBay Carbon Diffuser Review......FYI
Hey guys!
I just wanted to pass off my experience on my recent purchase of an eBay carbon fiber diffuser. Since purchasing my 1 in April, I have always been eying a carbon diffuser. After shopping around doing some research on the web, I decided to skip the BMW OEM carbon diffuser and try my luck with one of those "eBay" diffuser. Pulled the trigger about two weeks ago and purchased the diffuser from seller (directparts4u) out of Hong Kong. Great communication with the seller, even with the huge time difference. Tracking number was provided on time, and I received the diffuser about 11 days later. Which I didn't think was to bad, considering it went from Hong Kong to the state of Nebraska US. Fitment / Quality Diffuser was packaged very well, foam wrap plus bubble wrap, and oversized box. A++ I was overall very pleased with the quality of the diffuser. Extremely light weight. I didn't weigh it compared to the OEM diffuser, but I would guess it at almost half the weight. As far as fitment goes, I would give it a 9 out 10. The tabs aren't perfect, but do the job. I wish they were just a little longer IMOP, but overall I am very pleased with it. Especially at a price of almost 1/3 of most. I hope this helps some of you out there that may be shopping for a "budget" carbon diffuser. |

I bought and installed one of these from the same seller about 2-3 months ago.
It was a bit if a stretch to get it on but length and heightwise it's probably 90-95% there are small gaps on either side where it meets the bumper but maybe only 3-5mm. The only 2 issues I had with it were that the top lip is too shallow and therefore there's about a 1cm indent from the bumper to the diffuser. Enough to notice if you know it's there but not a huge issue. The other is that there are some imperfections in the weave like folds and different colours but once again, if you don't inspect up close you won't see it. I notified the seller of these and they offered a partial refund. In the end I got it for a great price for it so I'm pretty happy. Hopefully they took my feedback into account and fixed the mould a bit.

Hope they have fixed the mold then..... This thread was bought to my attention this morning and I ended up contacting the seller, negotiating a price and just now finalized a PayPal payment. Photos here look great. Guess I'll just have to wait to receive mine and then see what the fitment is like.

diffuser
look good.
you were lucky that it fit 9/10. I just bought a set cf mirror caps from HK and the fitting is probably 6/10. Although they claim that everything was test fitted before. it looks very good.....good for you. |

I purchased the same carbon fiber diffuser from directparts4u on ebay. I can confirm with skeeler previous review, the fitment of the diffuser is 9/10. Fit and finish is good for what I paid. Great communication and packaging from the seller.

Is it 3 fins diffuser? The seller is directparts4u? I found it quite expensive but will give it a try if you suggest or recommend me on this one. Its like $500 for a diffuser shipped. How's your overall satisfaction? Any gap?
