Always enjoy when someone points out why I have a 1M coupe. Enjoyed the video too. Especially when he pointed out how the base interior suits the throwback pure nature of the 1M. I couldn't agree more.

Just have a few minor issues with it.

1. He implies the 1M got the side curtains from the F80. It's the other way around. This was the first production car with them and every other car now has them. I really big point that many overlook.

2. The 369lb ft of overboost is there only in low rpm-high load situations like flooring it in 6th gear on the highway. The RPMs are low and the load is high. In first gear, the load is not high. That's my understanding of it.

3. The brakes are probably not the best but I don't agree that they are that bad. They work better than on the heavier M3.

4. The wheels are not specific to the 1M. They came from the ZCP E9X M3.

Otherwise, fun video.

He might of had bad luck with brakes?

No way a swift run will make the brakes melt like butter. I think that was a bit over the top. Otherwise, many points were valid and complimentary.

I always love vids on the 1M.

Sounds like the pads should be changed on that particular car... Because the M brakes are pretty decent at their job on the street. The track is another story... but... yeah.

I just don't get this guy; yes, he likes the car, but he is sloppy on a number of facts and off base on the brakes. I did the M-taxi in M3 at the Ring with Walter Haupt driving the wheels off an E92 M3 and he claimed the only thing they changed from stock was the pads. If you are serious about going to the track with this, you would change the pads and the fluid and can't imagine having an issue with anything short of actual racing. What car don't you want to change the pads on for racing or serious HPDE?!
