So today my brother helped me out with the hood instal. It's a M3 style carbon fiber hood from Seibon. I wasn't to sure on how it would look on the car because of the contrast in colors. But after seeing it I have to admit, I like it more on the white car than on the black car.

Maybe between tonight or tomorrow I'll be installing the hood latches.

Of course, is the eBay one. I wasn't expecting too much out of it. But I was impressed with the fitment, I'd say 9/10 & it's a good quality considering the price and it not being of a recognized brand. I would buy it again. Here's the link.

*EDIT*
This is not the exact seller I bought it from, couldn't find the exact link to the seller.

So last night I started the instal of the hood latches, I just finished installing it. I'm satisfied with the results considering this was my first time doing this.

Note that my driver side latch is missing a bolt that I lost in the process. Unfortunately I don't have a spare & we're in quarantine/lockdown, so the hardware stores are closed.

When I took the front bumper out, I noticed that the driver side bolt that fits with the headlight bracket, was misaligned. And was somewhat difficult to take the bumper out because of it, visually it wasn't noticeable, but I know it was going to be a pain to fit the bumper back after painting it. So today I took the time to "disassemble" the driver side headlight bracket & the headlight, to try and fix the fender. While doing so I noticed a small crack in the fender, that I previously thought it was a small paint chip. I went and looked at the layout of the inner fender & it looks like this is a weak point, then I looked at my other fender (that isn't bent) & it also has a smaller crack than the one in the driver side. After some massaging with a heat gun & a wooden handle (since I didn't have the proper tools), I'd say it's about 95% done.

Edit: I think I'll have to replace the bracket since it looks like it's broken where it bolts to the fender.

Bought some goodies for the car. Only needed the oil pan gasket, but decided to buy the rest as preventative maintenance.

So I decided to clean the undercarriage of the car, since on Monday it's going to the shop to get the oil pan gasket replaced. Also cleaned the oil cap & flipped the Cap gasket in hopes to stop it from leaking, while a new oil cap comes from overseas. (One of the few cons of living in a Caribbean island lol) And to top it off cleaned the engine bay.

Also I'm stoked that my rubber floor mats came through the mail today.

Today I started to work on the front bumper, prepping it for paint. Sanded & body filled it, sadly I ran out of sand paper & we're still on lock down, I can't go & buy more of it. Since I'm working on the bumper, I also be painting the grill trims in alpine white to color match them with the car. I'm not the biggest fan of color match grill trims, but since I'm less of a fan of the chrome trim I'll be painting it just to see how I like it. If I don't like it I'll change it back to gloss black.
